chapter 39

AMELIAS POV
I was lying next to Owen in bed and we were both out of breath.
"I love you," I said and smiled at him.
"I love you too," he said.
"That was amazing," I said.
"It was," he smiled and kissed my head. I laid my head on his chest and nuzzled into him. I felt him kiss my head and we laid in each other's arms for a while. I was just thinking about how perfect he was. How much I love him, and how much the kids like him. His pager went off which sucked because I just wanted to lay here with him.
"Ugh," he said. He sat up and kissed me softly and got changed to leave. He left his sweatshirt on my bed for me which was cute. I got up and put it on with leggings and hugged him before he left.
"Bye cutie," I said.
"Goodbye," he said. He pecked my lips before running out and I texted Mer that I could pick up the kids now. I kinda felt bad dropping them off there but Owen and I had been so close to having sex lately that we both just wanted to so bad. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and walked downstairs to pick the kids up. I grabbed my car keys and drove over to Meredith's. I used the spare key I had and Meredith was binge watching some show with Emma.
"Hey mom," Emma said.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey you're back," Meredith said.
"Where'd you go?" Emma asked.
"I Uh had an errand to run," I said. Meredith raised and eyebrow but then it clicked.
"Omg," She said, "the errand, how'd it go?"
"Good," I smiled.
"Ew oh my god are you talking about what I think you're talking about?" Emma said.
"No I had to return something at target but I didn't have my receipt," I lied.
"Oh my god you're such a liar," Emma said, "EW."
"Shut up I was at target," I said and sat next to her.
"For an entire hour?" Emma joked.
"Yeah the line was long," I said.
"Yeah you know what else was long," Meredith joked. My mouth dropped and I threw a pillow at her.
"I'm gonna kill you," I said and playfully shoved her.
"Oh come on I had to," she laughed.
"Ew oh my god," Emma said.
"Ok I'm sorry I love you," I said and hugged her.
"Love you too," she said.
"So how's your boy?" I said.
"Mom you're not getting a name and we are friends," she said.
"Oh someone has a big fat crush," Meredith joked.
"Shut up," Emma chuckled.
"Can I get a first letter?" I asked.
"This isn't wheel of fortune," she said.
"Ugh," I said.

I was back home making dinner with Joey. Emma was upstairs finishing some homework and Izzy was playing with her dolls.
"Mommy where's Owen?" Joey asked.
"He's at work buddy," I said.
"Oh," Joey said, "when is he going to be back?"
"I'm not sure," I said, "hopefully soon."
"Okay," he said.
"Did you have fun with your cousins today?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said, "Bailey and I played a lot of soccer today!"
"That's good buddy," I said.
"Yeah," he said, "and we Aunt Meredith let us play on the Xbox."
"That's fun," I said.
"Yeah," he said, "how was your day mommy?"
"It was good," I smiled and thought of Owen.
