AMELIAS POV
I unlocked the front door and the kids were all in the kitchen.
"Mommy!" Joey said and ran over to me. I locked the door and picked him up and smiled.
"Hey buddy how was school?" I asked.
"It was good," he said, "but I need help with my homework."
"Okay why don't you get it out and I'll help you with it while I make dinner," I said.
"Okay!" He said and ran back into the kitchen. I followed him into the kitchen and Emma was on her computer doing homework and Izzy was coloring pictures from a book.
"Hi mom," Emma said.
"Mommy!" Izzy said. I gave both of them a big hug.
"How was everyone's day?" I asked. Everyone started talking at once and I chuckled.
"Okay wait Joey you go, then Emma, then Izzy," I chuckled.
"Okay!" Joey said, "Today at school i met a new friend Mike and we playing on the swings at recess and he gave me his Xbox name so now I can play games with him!"
"That's cool Mike sounds like a good boy and friend," I said.
"Ok my turn!" Emma said, "Uh I mean it was school and I got a 97 on my science test."
"Good job," I smiled and hugged her.
"Okay Izzy you're up," I said.
"I don't like school I got homework," she pouted. I chuckled and kissed her head.
"Okay did you do anything fun at school?" I asked.
"Yeah we watched a video on the ABC's and we started writing," she said.
"Well that's good," I said, "I'm glad you guys had a good day."
"So how was your day mom?" Emma asked.
"Oh it was fine," I said.
"Mommy did you save people?" Joey asked.
"Yes I did buddy," I said. I sat down next to him to help him with his math homework before making dinner. I smiled at all three of my kids sitting in the kitchen working hard, and I was so grateful for them.
