OWENS POV
Today was Christmas Eve and I was going over to Amelia's for dinner along with Derek's family and a few other of Amelia's relatives. Amelia and I have been really great lately, I really love her and I love being with her. She's not only my girlfriend she's my best friend. I ran upstairs real quick and got dressed and combed my hair. Amelia hasn't told Joey and Izzy about us and I know she's scared too, so when I'm around her when they're around I have to act like we're friends, which kinda sucks but I understand her reasoning. I grabbed Amelias present and my phone and walked out to my car. I started driving over to Amelias, and when I pulled into her driveway her mom parked next to me.
"Hi Owen," her mom said and hugged me.
"Hi," I smiled. I really liked her mom, her and Amelia were very similar and her mom has been so nice and kind to me. Amelia opened the door and hugged us both and smiled. She looked so pretty, she was wearing a cute Christmas shirt and black jeans. I followed her into the kitchen to give her her present. She smiled when I handed her the bag and kissed my cheek.
"Hold on I have yours," she said and walked into the living room and handed me a perfectly wrapped box.
"You have quite the wrapping skills," I said.
"Emma wrapped it," she laughed.
"Oh well then Emma has the wrapping skills," I laughed.
"You're right," she laughed. The kids weren't in the living room so I leaned in and kissed her softly.
"I love you Amelia," I smiled.
"And I love you Owen," she smiled. I let her unwrap my gift to her first. I watched her unwrap it and unbox the bracelet I bought her and her face lit up.
"Aw Owen I love it," she smiled and kissed my cheek, "thank you."
"You're welcome," I said. I unwrapped her gift and it was a framed photo of us on our first date, also my favorite photo of us. I kissed her head.
"I love it," I said, "it's my favorite photo of us."
"I know," She smiled. I kissed her softly again I pulled her closer to me.
"In two days is our one month," she said cutely.
"Yeah," I smiled at her, it has felt like so much longer than only one month, it's felt like I've know her my whole life.
"Amelia!" Her mother called from the kitchen. I followed her back into the kitchen and Amelia helped her mom with something. Derek came over and stood next to me.
"So how are you two?" He asked.
"Good," I smiled, "really good."
"I'm glad," he said, "I like you two together."
"Thanks," I said.
"Has she told her kids yet?" He asked.
"Emma knows," I said.
"She figured it out didn't she," Derek said.
"From what Amelia told me yes," I said. A few minutes later Amelia came over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist and leaned her head on my chest.
"So Emma figured it out?" Derek said to Amelia.
"Yeah I knew she would," She shrugged.
"Dad!" Bailey called from the other room.
"Oh well duty calls," Derek chuckled. I looked down at Amelia and kissed her softly.
"Should I just tell them?" She asked.
"If you want to," I said.
"I don't know," she said, "I'll wait till after Christmas Incase they get mad at me."
"Okay," I chuckled.
"You're cute," She said.
"So are you," I said and kissed her forehead. I had my arm around her and she had her arms wrapped around my waist and she was leaning into me.
"Hey Owen," Amelia said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"I wanna show you something," she said.
"Okay," I said. She grabbed my arm and we walked down the hallway and she stopped me.
"Wait close your eyes," she chuckled.
"This seems familiar," I joked.
"Shut up and close your eyes," she chuckled. I closed my eyes and she grabbed my hand and walked down the hallway and she told me to open my eyes.
"Guess what," she said.
"What?" I said.
"Look up," She said. I looked up and there was mistletoe like I knew there would be.
"Come here cutie," I said and cupped her face in my hands and kissed her.
