AMELIAS POV
My mom offered to stay home with Joey, Izzy, and Asher. Owen, Derek, and I went out to go get Emma. I put the address into my GPS and I was so scared. Big parties went on on this side of town, like people driving home drunk or high parties, and Emma was there.
"Owen can you drive any quicker?" I asked.
"Amelia I am going 60 in a 25," he said.
"Okay," I said. We pulled up to the house and the music was so loud and there was easily 300 people there. I was going to text her but I did before a 100 times and none of them went through.
"Should we split up?" Derek suggested.
"Yeah," I said.
"No," Owen said.
"No?" Derek and I both questioned him.
"Well Derek can go alone there's drunk teenage boys here your not going alone," Owen said.
"Owen I can handle it we're here for Emma," I said.
"Amelia," he said.
"Fine," I said and we got out.
"Okay I'll text you if I find her," Derek said and ran off in the other direction. Owen and I walked up the driveway and I had the worst feeling about this.
"I can't believe she's here," I said.
"I know," Owen said.
"She's so dead," I said.
"Let's just go find her first," Owen said. The gate was open so we walked in the back and the amount of kids drinking and vaping was so bad. Owen grabbed my hand and brought me closer to him. Some drunk girl let us through the back door and we ran down into the basement. We got down there and the smell of nicotine was so strong.
"Amelia," Owen said. I turned and saw Emma and Mike making out on the couch. I let go of Owen's hand and walked over to them. I tapped Emma on the shoulder and she turned and her eyes widened.
"Let's go," I said.
"B-But mom," she stuttered. I pulled her off Mike.
"But come on," Mike said, "Emma don't let her do that!"
"And for you, I hope you know this is the last time you're seeing my daughter," I said.
"Emma!" He said.
"Mom!" Emma said and she tried to break out of my grip on her arm.
"Emma let's go," I said sternly. She wasn't drunk but she definitely drank and the smell of nicotine was on her. We walked back upstairs as she fought with Owen and I and then she was silent as we walked out of the house.
"Mom I hate you," she said quietly.
"Well I'm not a fan of you right now either," I said.
"Yeah I knew that," she said, "try telling me something new." We texted Derek and he met us outside. Emma got in the backseat and we were all quiet. I turned around to look at emma.
"And what the fuck were you thinking?" I said.
"Mom it was just one party!" She said.
"One party! That's it? Emma you're in 8th grade, 14 years old and there's kids as old as 19 at this party!" I yelled at her.
"Mom it's not that big of a deal!" She said.
"Yes it is!" I yelled, "you're never seeing that boy again, clearly you can't handle peer pressure and he's influencing you."
"I fucking hate you," she said. Owen stopped the car and he looked back at her.
"Don't talk to your mother like that," he said.
"And you're not my dad," she said sternly.
"Emma shut up," I said.
"Well it's true," she said.
"You need to watch yourself," I said.
"You know what? I don't care," she said.
"You and mike are done," I said, "you are not allowed to see him anymore."
"Do I look like a give a flying fuck?" She said and I realized she was slightly drunk. What ever happened to my little girl.
