They're staying in this safe camp for almost five months now. Chase is all better and healed. And some of the Child Soldiers who are taking refuge here are slowly diminishing. They said the government found their next to kin who can take care of them and so they needed to go.

Now it only left me, Chase and the other ten Child Soldiers who's family the government haven't found yet.

The life in the safe camp isn't that bad. They were given clothes, shelter, enough food and they wake up everyday knowing that there are guards everywhere to protect them and make sure that they are safe.

But you'll never know when danger strikes. So she and Chase always make sure to practice their fighting skills every night in a spot at the safe camp where no one from the guards can see them.

Tonight is one of those nights.

"Faster. Dodge faster, swing faster and kick faster." Chase instructed her and she did just that.

"You're not taking this seriously." He said after her futile attemps at following his instructions.

This is the fist time she spared with Chase and hurting him in any way even if it's just a simple sparring didn't sit well with her.

"Damn it, Cece! Fight me like you mean it!" Chase said while throwing her punches after punches.

"Fight me like your life depended on it!" He kicked her side sending her backwards. She wanted to grimace at the pain but she held it in.

"Don't be slow and weak!"

That one word did it. She straightened her back. Her eyes bacame cold, dangerous and unfeeling. Her posture rigid as she stalked her prey. No words came out of her mouth as she attacked with no reservations.

Chase's eyes widened at her first attemp. He was surprised when he realized that he barely dodged the fist punch and kick she had given him.

She smirked.

"You want fast?" She said in a low cold voice. All amusement faded on her eyes. "I'll show you fast."

He pursed his lips, his eyes turning serious when she took a step forward. And if there is one thing that no one knows? One thing that she's good at?

It's the fact the she's fast.

Faster than any of the Child Soldiers in that damned hell hole. And she knows how to use that perfectly well.

Kareem was the one who made sure she knows how to use that perfectly well through those gruelling training and sparring he did with her in secret.

"The best way to take down an enemy is to use an unsuspecting weapon in taking them down. They'll never know what hit 'em until it's too late."

Kareem had said as he gave her an amazed look. His chuckle borders from crazy to sadistically psychotic.

"And you'll be that weapon for me, kid. You're innocent face will be my weapon. No one will know what you can do until you show them. And you can't tell anyone, especially to that boy you call your friend."

She swing her arms, dodged his attack, went behind him and locked his neck in seconds. He used his elbow to attack her stomach but she kept the pain at bay. She twisted herself, bringing him with her on the ground before she punched his face hard. He was about about to retaliate when he felt the blade on his neck.
