Morning came and just like the previous mornings, she and Chase was able to wake up again safe and sound.

She stretched on her bed at the same time, giving a loud yawn for Chase to hear.

"Morning to you too." He greeted.

"You're up early." She noticed.

"It's already seven in the morning Cece. You're the one who woke up late."

"True. You know how I always have a good long sleep whenever I'm with you."

She stood up and tidied her bed. She looked up on his side of the bunk bed they've been sleeping only to see his blanket and pillows properly arranged.

"No nightmares even." She smirked.

Chase regarded her with a look. "I noticed you don't get them now as much as you did the first time you stepped foot in that hell hole."

She walked towards him and held his cheek.

"I don't get them now because of you."

He frowned. She chuckled. He looked so handsome whenever he does that cute little crinkle on his forehead.

"I don't get them now because I know we are safe and besides, I have you." She grasped her pendant on his neck and smiled. It looked good on him too.

"I'll cherish it forever." He said talking about the pendant.

She smiled. "You better be. Or else, my mother will hunt you to death."

He chukled.

"So. I'm just gonna take a shower and then we'll go get breakfast together."

"I'll be just right here."

"Oh I know you will." She smirked before entering the bathroom.

At the kitchen, She frowned.

What exactly happened here?

She looked around for something to eat. Well at least she tried to look around for something familiar to eat. All the food that used to be there were now replaced by foods with foreign brands she's not familiar with. Foods that she's only seeing for the first time and have no idea how to eat.

Back at the hell hole, they only ate bread and water. If they are lucky enough, there are times where they can eat meat. But that was only if Kareem, their leader was in a good mood.

"I found this and some beans."

She turned around and found Chase holding a pack of loaf bread and a can of beans in his hands.

Now that is something familiar.

"That'll do."

Chase put the food on the table and started preparing it.

"I don't understand what's with all these strange food in here.." He grumbled.

"Maybe the one who did the grocery have a thing with these foreign brands."

He shrugged.

"Good thing they bought these though." She added while looking at the bread and beans on the table.

"Here, eat." Chase offered her a sandwich.

"Thanks."

They were busy eating when the strange man from last night walked into the kitchen. Her sandwich froze midway to her mouth as she watched him walk towards the refrigerator without giving them any sideways glance. He took out a carton of what looked like an orange juice and filled his glass with it.
