They got out the hospital that day and they both didnt speek the whole ride home ... When Alex parked the car he noticed that Andy didnt move to get out

" Andy ? Come on let's get inside ..what's wrong " he knew something was off with him ... He grew to know him very well ..and he really needs to build this boy's self esteem .. He thought

"Your.. Your fa-father h-hates me now?"

Andy hated the way he stutters ... He though he got rid of it but It looks like it came back ... Any small thing that triggers him can easily mess with his head .. Thats how weak he is

"Of course not ... he doesn't hate you Andy ... Why would you say that "

He didnt know why he thought that Alex's father hates him ... They never talk but ... He hugged him on his birthday and brought him alot of new books Andy was so happy to see that many books ... When you hate someone you dont give them gifts right ? You dont hug them right? He doesn't know really .... He doesn't know that much about anything .

"He thinks You hate him "

"Why could I hate him ... Thats funny "

"Well dad ...because you dont talk to him .. You didnt get close to him ... "

Thomas chuckles

" well...Alex .. He never gave me a chance ... Every time he sees ..he either hides behind you or .. Hide in the bathroom .. He never talks to me ... He is scared of me "

Andy was always scared of Thomas ... They never got close .. And seeing how the boy would flinch and hide .. He thought staying away from him would be better ..
That doesnt mean he hates him ... He just doesnt want to get attached to him ...but he thought he should try ... Try to get close to the boy who's despretly in need of love and care..
So he headed to Andy's room ..he found him sitting at the foot of the bed with a book between his hands and glasses on his face ..
As soon as Andy saw him he stood up with shaking hands he put the book down ... Is here to punish me ? Is he here to kick me out ? He thought ..

"Andy sit down please " Thomas said while sitting on Andy's bed ...
Andy copying him ... He sat carefully ... Afraid of making any mistake ... He was scared to even look at him so he just looked at his hands

"Andy .. Do you not like me . ?"
Andy's eyes widened ...oh my god Alex told him ... He looked up and shook his head left and right quickly making himself dizzy a bit

"I...Don't...d-don't li-like y-you"
Thomas laughed a bit at his respond ..how innocent the boy is

"You dont ..Don't like me huh .. Well... I dont.. dont like you either"

Andy looked at him with wide eyes and a small smile on his face ... After everything happened to him ..The boy still managed to smile a genuine smile

"Do I make you scared Andy ? You can tell me "

Andy gave a small nodd looking down

"Why?"

"B-because ... He .. He had w-Wh-white h-hair like y-you I ... I am so..so-sorry"
Thomas pointed to his hair and said "is this what scares you ? "

Nodd"y--yes mister Thomas ...um sir ?"

Ouch... Thomas wasnt ready for that ... He realized he never talks to the boy so the boy didnt know how to address him ... Andy been in his house for almost a year and he never talked to him ... He feels like an ass now

"This white hair can go away Andy ... Its not that hard and thank you for telling me "
Andy gave him another smile showing his now fixed teeth
"And .. Andy dont call me mister or sir okay "

"What sh-should I say ?"

"Just call me Thomas or ... Father .. Or dad if you want .. Just not mister and not sir okay"

Father ... But this is Alex's father not his
"But ... Y-you are Alex's f-father "

" I can be your father too Andy "

Andy's eyes widened " really ? Really you c-can?"

"Of course I can Andy " Thomas laughed hard at the boy's excitement he hugged him gently to his chest kissing his head ... smilling

" well..well..well look how happy you guys look " Alex said standing by the door

"Alex .. Mister Thomas said he..he can ..be my father too " Andy said jumping at Alex with happiness and excitment ... He never had a father... Or well ..a good father ...
He thought maybe he can be finally happy

Maybe he'll finally have a family

....
