Chans| Sweet Happiness Part 2

Chara giggled as she finished decorating the little cupcakes she was baking with her "Mom".

"Awe, they look so cute and adorable, sweetie!" Souda chirped, swiping one of the red velvet cupcakes from the large plate.

"Mom! Those are for me and Sans!" The Neko growled.

The mechanic only laughed and patted his daughter's head.

"I know, I know. I'll leave you two be, but you-"

"Yes, I know Dad'll be watching us just in case Sans tries to make a move on me." The young thing rolled her red eyes, sighing at the end.

The pink haired male also sighed, shaking his head.

The soft sound of a knock entered the rather quiet house. Chara didn't waste a second, and hurried over to the front door before her father could, who knows what he'll try to do to get rid of the skeleton!

"Sans!" The Neko cried out, a large smile on her face as she launched herself up at the slightly taller being.

The boney monster stumbled back some, stiffening a bit, but soon enough he relaxed into the hug. His thin arms wrapped around the humanish girl, a smile forming on his skeleton lips.

"Hey, bucko! I see you missed me." The tall skeleton laughed softly, his eyes holding this calm look to them.

"Come on, Sans! It's been almost two months since we've last hung out!" The little Neko whined.

The skeleton chuckled and nodded. He had been wanting to see her for the entire time, the RESETS weren't helping that fact either. It honestly took him a week to remember what day it was in CC's world.

"Off." Came a deep, annoyed voice.

Instantly the two separated and looked towards the animal breeder. His different eyes were hard on the monster, mistrust deep within them.

"H-Hey, Gun-"

"It's Mr. Tanaka to you, boy." The scientist hissed, his glaring eyes narrowing even more.

"Gundham, don't make me." The pink haired mechanic spoke slowly, his own eyes glaring at his husband, who paled a bit more.

"Fine." The slim male crossed his arms and buried the bottom half of his face in his scarf like a child.

Chara waited for a few more seconds, wanting to make sure that the coast was clear so Sans wouldn't get any type of backlash before tugging him forward into her home.

"Come on, come on! We have a whole day, planned out!" She chirped, her red eyes glowing with happiness.

The depressed skeleton only smiled and nodded. He liked seeing Chara happy, plus he was interested on what she had planned for the whole day before her father decides to kick him out.

"Hey, Sans!" Souda called out, carrying two trays.

One tray held all the snacks that the black haired female made for them, including the plate of mini cupcakes. The other tray had milk, apple juice and water.

"Hello, Mr-"

"You don't have to call me Mister, Sans. Really, Gundy is only making you call him Mister, because he wants to have some sort of power over you."

"Not the reason!" The black haired father cried out, his eyes holding the look of betrayal.

"Really? Then what is the reason, sweetie?" The slightly taller male leaned on one leg, raising an eyebrow in the most unconvinced way.

Gundham grumbled lowly under his breath before facing his husband, who waited for his answer.

"He should be respecting me as Chara's father."

"By calling you Mister Tanaka?" Souda looked even more unconvinced, if ever so slightly annoyed.

"Souda, it's fine, I really don't mind. If it's what he wants me to call him, then so be it." The skeleton quickly jumped in, his eyelights small with worry and slight fear.

The pink haired human huffed and nodded, taking the monster's word.

Placing the two trays on the large coffee table, the mechanic gave his daughter a quick kiss on the top of her head and wished the two well on their playdate.

"So, what do you have planned, CC?"

The little Neko's eyes brightened happily as she swiftly plugged in Mario Cart 8 Deluxe.

The skeleton's smile became lighter and happier as the child like creature handed him a controller to play.

The two didn't say a word as they raced around the tracks, only grunts, soft whines and quick cheers were heard. Well, laughter was there as well, but it was constant unlike the other sounds, making it's home inside the metal house.

"Okay! Now let's play Crash!" The black tail swished quickly in happiness as she skipped back over to the Wii before switching it to the PS4, where she placed a colorful disk in.

Once again, she hopped back over with the controllers and handed one over to her friend. Like the time before, the two didn't say a word, but it seemed as though they spoke with their laughter.

Gundham looked between his daughter and the skeleton, his original weariness fading away as he saw the peace and happiness in his daughter's eyes. She really did look happy, so relaxed and at peace with Sans around.

Sighing softly, he shook his head, returning his softening gaze into a hard glare on the walking pile of bones.

Sans didn't care to notice as Chara changed the game into the new Avengers movie.

She returned back to his side, happily cuddling into it, a smile gracing her lips as he held her closer.

"H-"

"Gundy! I need your help!" Souda called out through his door, this odd glint in his pink colored eyes.

The other male groaned, but nodded, it was better to do what his husband said, besides it shouldn't take too long... Right?

The two creatures silently watched as the brooding father left them be for once, the hidden tension finally being released.

Once that door closed tightly, Chara gave a giggle and forcibly made Sans lay down, so she could snuggle with him.

The skeleton honestly didn't mind, he enjoyed their snuggles as much as any person could. She was warm and her hair was rather fluffy and soft.

"I really missed you..." She whispered, pressing her forehead into the monster's  chest.

He gave a calm smile and pulled her closer. He missed this too. Yes, it was only a month and then some, but it almost felt like an eternity for them!

"I did to..." He murmured, closing his eyes as a peaceful sleep tugged at his soul.

The movie and all the other activities that had been planned were forgotten and abandon just to spend a peaceful afternoon with the one they loved. A very well way to spend a day, is it not?
