Inspired a sad One-shot from somewhere... Can't remember where from...

All he did was stare into the blank wall, his eyes emotionless... His eyes grey, shapeless, and plain.

He wore plain things too. A simple white shirt with black shorts and grey sneakers were what covered him, not that they were too different from what he once wore. What did he use to wear again? He couldn't remember, though he doubted that it was important.

"Please... Ink..." A weak voice cried, sounding as though they had shouted and yelled for hours and hours on end with little rest. The owner of the voice placed a warm hand on the smaller monster's cheek, their mismatched eyes pleading. "Please come back to me..."

The dead eyes looked into those of color, those of life and happiness... Something that he was unable to feel.

"Who are you?" He questioned, his voice dull like an unused dagger.

The dark skeleton's face fell with more defeat, tears falling from his eyes in rivers.

"Please, Ink! You know me!" They cried, small little signs formed in their eyes, blinding them. "Yo-You know m-me! We're mar-married, for Cre-Creators Sakes!" They continued with small stumbles here and there.

The lifeless skeleton tilted his head to the side, unable to comprehend the emotion that the other was feeling... Unable to know what the other was blabbering about. The memory of anything of such was not there, as though it was forcibly taken from him.

"We are not." The dull skeleton said cooling, pushing the taller off him. " I don't know you." He stated again, facing the blank void.

He doesn't remember how he got there, but he does know that he doesn't like the blank color.

"I-Ink..." The monster whispered, pulling the unloving creature towards him, begging him to remember.

This interaction went on for days, then months, and then almost two years. Every time was the same... Well... Almost.

Ink started to understand the emotions the other was feeling, learning what to say and what not to say. Learning how to use a joking tone and a serious one, learning to smile and show some form of sweet affection.

Yet, he also felt something heavy growing inside him. He didn't know what it was, but it made him want to see the depressed glitch more and more... Sometimes the thought of visiting the taller would cross his mind, yet he'd always banish them before he could completely formulate them. He didn't know where the dark monster kept coming from nor going to, so the thought was dead before it began anyways.

Then one day, Error came back with someone by his side. At this point the old Destroyer had given up all hope of seeing a truly happy Ink, an Ink that could make any darkness a masterpiece, the Ink that he loved and married. Even then, he knew he couldn't love another.

Being alone for so long with nothing to do and no real person to talk to, his soul had a tendency to become stubborn to things it loves. His soul will either smother it until it wilts and dies, or it will thrive with its love and care... Something that his Ink had done, even returning such affection.

Something inside of the dulled monster's chest burned with an intense heat that made him almost wince in pain as he saw the monster come back with someone else... The feeling was harsh on him, making him almost want to "glare" at the new skeleton.

The dark skeleton with the yellow skeleton sat in front of the plain one, the new one's experssion expression hard, eyes shining with one emotion.

"Hello, Ruru." The small skeleton gave a gentle, almost caring smile. A realistic smile.

The pet name made the Destroyer's messed up soul skip a beat, a pale yellow blush forming on his cheeks as a smile unknowingly spread across his face.

"Hey, Inky." He muttered quietly, his voice sounding lost as always.

The smaller frowned deeply, reaching his arms out and automatically pulling the other into a small hug. Yes, he had heard that same beaten and defeated voice a thousand times before, but it always felt different every time the glitch came back... Making him wish to hear something else from his voice, anything other than that one.

Error accepted the warm hug with much need, sighing in content as he placed his 'ear' on the older monster's ribs. Something inside was making a calm beating sound... Wait, what?!

The mistake jerked back, eyes wide with hope, confusion, fear and wonder. Emotions that the other didn't know, but found pleasing when mixed together.

Taking a deep breath the dark skeleton CHECKED his lost lover. Almost instantly a quiet pinging sounded, a magnificent soul appearing with the sound.

Its form was shaky, almost liquid like, but it was the color of the rainbow, peaceful and gorgeous., roughly forming a heart. Though, the main colors that decorated the new soul were a dark, fiery red, pale peach pink color with a lustful green.

"Huh, is that what was making my chest heavy?" The oblivious creature asked, an eyebrow was raised as he looked at the other two.

Error had tears falling out of his eyes as his hands covered his mouth, a smile adorning his features. The other had wide eyes, mouth open with shock.

"Error..." They started slowly, their shock demeanor changing into one of hope and happiness, a pale yellow aura forming around them. "That's... That's a soul..."

That was all the Destroyer needed to hear, that was all he had to hear.

He broke into happy sobs, forcing the old Creator into a hug. He didn't care on how the soul was created, but he was grateful! They gave him another chance, a chance to be with the one he loves once more! A chance to never worry about the other becoming grey!

A chance he wasn't letting go to waste.
