Happy Halloween! Here's some AfterDeath! Hope ya'll like it!
Geno coughed harshly, his chest moving up and down, but it felt like little to no air was entering his lungs... Maybe that's why there was a mask thing on his mouth and nose.
The doctors around him were working quickly, muttering to themselves in the terms he's learned to both understand and ignore. He's been in this type of situation so many times, that most things said no longer fazed him...
It kind of hurt actually... Not having a real childhood...
In Geno's mind, all he was, was a burden on his family and their money. He knew he was causing his mom stress, and his brothers were constantly looking out for him like he was made from porcelain glass... He knew medical terms, even though he probably shouldn't... Not at his age... Heck, he knew every doctor and volunteer helper in the whole hospital!
Even with all that... He just wanted a friend... He wanted someone he could talk to, and not treat him like he was going to die in any second... He just wanted that...
A looming shadow walked through the clean halls of the hospital. No one could see him, well, not unless they were to die, but if they were then he'd simply make their life less miserable. Though, he was off the clock right now, so maybe not.
Slowly, he started humming a small tune, a soft tune. It was quiet nice actually...
Soon, he passed a door that was open, plenty of doctors and nurses were in there, talking in hushed tones in some terms that he never cared to learn. But it did sound serious...
Just when he was about to try and understand what they were saying, their little messenger things started beeping, making many of them wince. Yet, wordlessly, they left the room.
The shadow glided into the room, wishing to see who had the doctors so riled up.
Instead of his eyes first seeing the paitent, it went to the decorated room.
There were old colored in pictures taped to the wall, and by old, he means at least two years or so. The walls were repainted a nice, soft blue with sweet pinks and reds forming accent colors. There was a small love seat with a tiny desk and nightstand...
If he was going to be honest... The hospital room looked more like an actual room... He could only assume the patient had been there long enough for them to need a room like this. It was quiet sad actually...
Geno cracked open his eye, feeling an odd heavy weight in his chest.
He thought maybe his lungs were constriting, again, but instead... He saw a tall, black cloaked figure standing close to the door way, looking around his room.
He couldn't make out their face, but he was sure they were awed and confused. Specially since he knew most other hospital rooms didn't look as nice as his.
"H-Hello..." He whispered, his voice weak and rough on the ears.
Instantly the hooded figure had their attention on him.
Peering through the dark shadow that played on their face, bright, menacing blue eyes stared him down.
A normal child would've screamed and called the cloaked being a monster, a boogeyman. But, Geno didn't feel threatened by the figure, he found them... Comforting.
"Hello." He tried again, shifting his body into a small ball as pain started flaring somewhere near his gut. He felt rude doing that, he wanted to sit up, but he couldn't... The pain just hurt, like a lot... "Wh-What's your name, Mister?" His voice grew weaker, his breath growing heavier.
