A cheerful skeleton hopped down a dark street, humming a small song that he was listening to, peacefully oblivious to the world around him.

The skeleton had pure white bones, stood about five six, with bright joyful lime eyes that were formed in gorgeous stars. The teen skeleton wore a loose white shirt that had small stains and splotches of paint and watercolors, giving the shirt(along with the wearer) an artistic look, they also had on a pair of cream colored shorts despite that it was near fifty in winter time. The only thing protecting the monster from the cold was an old, porcelain white military cap that had butterscotch yellow linings along with a simple frost white jacket and an old parchment white scarf that had a few stains of ink.

The creature happily made his way home after spending most of it with his crush and best friend. He knew his mother was going to go all ballistic on him for being out so late and not just spending the night with his friend or going to a nearby hotel, so he tried to hurry up his steps. His mother could sometimes throw things out of proportions, but the young monster can't blame him.

As the innocent being passed an odd opening in between two buildings-but it wasn't like an alley-was when the teenager was dragged inside the darkness.

A surprised shout of fear passed through his lips as he instantly gave into a struggle. He may have been innocent, but he wasn't that naïve!

Cruel laughter spurred from the men that had grabbed him, their wicked eyes gleaming with unsavory thoughts, thoughts of how to taint the struggling monster.

"Let me go! Let me go!" The small skeleton cried out, kicking wildly.

The men only howled in that awful laughter again, their grip tightening as one of them reached to rip off the loose shirt the weaker creature was wearing.

"Hey!" A harsh voice shouted just as the guy took the flimsy shirt in his hand. "Let that kid go!" The owner of the voice shouted again, this time it was closer and much more harsher than it sounded before.

The group of the men paled, their eyes swiftly twisting with fear as they dropped the kid. They all started running as fast as their human legs could bring them. They knew who that was, and it was best not to anger that monster!

"Kid, are ya okay?" The mystery person asked, kneeling before the sobbing creature.

The kid couldn't help it, they were so scared... They really believed that they were going to be hurt...

"Hey, kid, it's okay... They're gone..." The other person whispered, carefully pulling the frightened monster close to them in a friendly gesture.

The artist quickly broke down into more tears, clinging to the stranger as the energy in his body swiftly fell into nothing.

The stranger silently picked up the passed out kid, their glowing eyes taking them in.

The monster had to admit, they were cute even with the tear stains on the pure white bones. The way their shirt fell to the top of their thighs like a dress and the shorts gently clinging to his legs, added an odd factor of adorable innocence... Something that made a primal instinct course through the taller monster.

He felt his soul pound, his sight taking in the way the skeleton clung to him in fear and relief; the way the teenager whimpered and whined softly, or the way that his cheeks held a very pale blush the color of a lime, everything. He saw it all, the sight making him sick with anger and protectiveness.

The feeling wasn't anything new, but... It was the first time he had ever acted on it. Normally when he sees a kid almost getting raped, he'd just continue on walking, barely evening looking back!
