I walked in the snow covered forest for so long, that I no longer knew who I was... I don't think I ever did... I think I lost who I was, when I woke up in the forest...

I looked towards the sky, the sun falling down. I didn't know why, but I feared the dark... I feared it and the night.

I ran. I ran as fast as I ever could! I had to find shelter before the night could come out. And I did find it. It came in a form of large twisting trees that made a blanket of darkness, the ground not cover in snow.

A soft sigh of relief came to me as I made quick work for some fire and some warm water.

When the darkness fell out side, I stayed near the thickest part of it all, letting my fire warm me from a far.

I feared the night and its darkness, but the thing was... I longed for it every single time. Every morning I longed for the dark night with the thousands of stars, but I know I would never be able to see them... Not when I was far too fearful.

I curled into my self, the fire lightly dying. I had to go near it to give it more sticks or else I'd be trapped in the darkness of the night... With animals that would be hungry for my bones.

I slowly uncurled myself and scooted closer to it, closer to where there were tiny holes in the cover.

I had to make this quick.

I poked at the fire lightly, then I broke off some branches, feeding them to the orange fire. The fire glowed and burned brighter, eating the twigs.

I allowed myself to back away, going back to where I first was, watching the surrounding area with ease. Then with no warning, day broke free.

A frown tugged at my lips, but I didn't allow it to show, I had to go.

I snuffed out the fire, before making it on my way.

The snow had piled up the night before, making my trek all the much harder.

Hours passed and I knew the sun was to set soon... But, I was brought out of my fear by the sound of someone... Someone was hurt...

I looked towards where it was coming from. I just couldn't stop myself. I had to help them.

I broke into a run, racing to help them as though it was my job. And it didn't take me long to find who made the noise.

A young man was hurt, bleeding from his side. He wore heavy looking armor, that was as dark as the night, an odd crescent shape on it... Like my blue armor was before I lost it.

"S-sir.." I whispered, my voice shaky from so little use it had.

The man's head snapped to me, his purple like eyes wide with, his breathing becoming even more ragged.

Slowly, I walked towards him, the palms of my hand facing him.

"I-I'm here to  he-help..." I whispered again, carefully going to my knees since I was in front of him.

The man gulped, carefully nodding as he eyed me wearily.

My hands reached to unclasp the armor, he stiffened but he didn't stop me. I took it off and placed it to the side.

Slowly, my hands glowed a soft blue like color, it was much softer than before when I had done this.

I didn't bother with that, I just had to heal him.

I carefully placed my hands on the wound, it slowly healing as the blue color darkened. I only stopped when the injury had stopped bleeding and the minor parts were healed. I felt dizzy and sick, but I pushed that aside, he needed something over that.

I didn't hesitate to rip the sash around my waist, it was just fabric.

I gently covered it, apply pressure to it softly. The man winced, but made no sound.

"I-Is that be-better?" I murmured.

The man nodded, his dusty blond hair swaging with his movement.

"Do you want to rest here, or move somewhere else?" My eyes looked around me.

"W-Why not..." He grunted, his voice lightly startling me.

His voice sounded so familiar... It making my body heat up in ways that I didn't understand, but it also sending a cold fear into my heart.

I ignored both. I didn't know him and he was hurt, needing my help.

I carefully had his arm over my shoulder, my right arm wrapped around his mid-section, being mindful of the wound.

I easily helped him to feet, walking through the snow as though I had no weight on me. Actually, I think I almost glided through the snow more easily than I had done before... It must've been my imagination.

In moments, I found a place where were could rest for the night and the sun was still up! Meaning I just had a bit of time to collect whatever I could to make a fire and get some berries or something to eat!

I placed him in first, then I made a little place for a fire to be, so it wouldn't either burn us. Then I hurried outside, swiftly gathering twigs to make the fire and some random berries that I knew weren't poisonous.

When I got back in, I swiftly made the fire and then I shoveled some snow into a tin cup that I had found a while ago.

I let the cup sit over the warm fire, it lighting up the dimness that slowly was becoming darkness.

"Don't like the dark?" The man questioned, his brows furrowed together in confusion. Was that not usual?

"Yeah... I don't know why as I long to see the stars, but... Something pulls me from it... Something telling me to hide from it... To stay hidden... I guess, fear just random comes, right?" I smiled softly at him, my voice becoming stronger.

He shrugged the best he could without irritating his injury.

"I guess... Though I normally face my fears head on." The he said that, it felt like he meant that towards me... Like he was suppose to be afraid of me?

"Then you are braver than me, Mister. I don't think I'd ever go out in the dark... Though, I'm glad that I found you!" I tilted my head a bit to the side, smiling brightly.

His brows furrowed more.

"Why?" He made the word come out slowly, as if unsure he'd like the answer.

"It's been lonely..." My smile faded. "Very lonely... I don't remember much of anything beyond these woods... I don't know who I am, just this fear of the darkness... This small voice telling me to move... This natural way of finding and doing what I need..." My voice faded, my eyes now on the flickering flames of the red fire. "I miss someone... I miss them a lot... I know that... Every time I want to sleep, I want to call out their name, but... I forgotten it... I want to remember them, but I can't... It's so lonely... Not remembering anything but the forest, not knowing why I was here, why I want to see someone I have no memory of... Lonely..."

I blinked, how long had I been staring into that fire? Too long, I could tell...

I glanced up at the man, his eyes soft and this time they were sad... Sad like he was sorry, sorry for what, I didn't know.

I gave him a smaller smile, trying to tell him it was okay.

"It's fine... Things happen for a reason... And I'll let them be for that." I nodded at the end of that, then I turned to the endless darkness of the night.

"Get some sleep..." He called out, turning away to look out the entrance as well. "You'll need it for tomorrow..."

I nodded, shifting myself to laydown, hiding myself from that darkness.

"Good night, Mister..." I muttered, my eyes closed.

And swiftly, the darkness collapsed on me, but not before I heard him say one thing. A thing so familiar, but so foreign...

"Goodnight, my blue star."
