New City

I'll start off by telling you a few things about myself , my name is Hanna I live with my parents and my older brother I'm 17 years old and my brother is 18 .

My dad recently got a new job in Canada and we are suppose to land in Canada in about 20 mins ... I used to live in New Jersey I've lived their my whole life and now that I'm moving to a whole new country let alone a city I should be sad I'm leaving my friends right? My boyfriend? My childhood memories?

but no. I'm not sad I'm not upset I'm confused ; I feel empty I don't exactly know how to feel about this so here I am sitting in a plane next to some random old lady who is currently snoring ... "I suggest everyone puts on their seat belts as we are about to land" I heard the announcements go off . I've travelled before not with my family but with my boyfriend .. Oh yeah typical thing a couple does! "HANNA" i hear my brother yell "what blake?" I ask tiredly "take off your headphones we are here the plane landed".

I yank off my headphones even though my favorite song wicked games by the weeknd was playing did i mention i love the weeknd? his voice is so fuckin sexy I would totally wanna get fucked listening to the weeknd .

We are currently outside the airport in the parking lot waiting for our driver to arrive ; my dad works in an export company so you can say we are pretty rich and my dad's new boss got us a house and a car and all the basic stuff you need when you move into a new place .

It's mid-august and i heard Canada's weather is really fuckin bipolar so currently I was wearing some sweat pants with a hoodie and some black vans , even though our flight wasn't long I wanted to be comfortable .

I heard car tires screech and I looked up to see a royal blue bmw standing in the distance , we all got in and the driver drove us to our new place .

All I knew was we are moving into the city basically downtown but it's like 10 minutes drive from the actual main downtown so I was kinda excited "this place isn't much different from New Jersey" I hear my mom mumble and my dad just giggles and nodes his head.

My dad is tall almost 6'2 with brown hair and blue eyes and my mom has blonde hair she's 5'5 light brown eyes and she still looks really young some people thing we are sisters ... My brother blake has blonde hair he gets it from my mom ; blue eyes he's almost 6'1 and pretty built I mean he's my brother so I can't say much but we get along easily and joke around a lot .

I hear the car stop and I look out the window to see a huge, beautiful house , it has a front yard and it's a corner house so it's pretty enormous by the looks . "I need to run to the office to catch up with my boss I'll see you guys at dinner" my dad says as he leaves with the driver . It's almost 3pm and the weather is pretty chilly even though the sun is out .

"Blake help Hanna take her suit case to her room" my mom says and blake nodded his head in response.

After about an hour we are all finally sitting in the living room watching tv .. The house is way bigger from the inside; there's 2 living rooms and one family room and the dining room is attached to the kitchen we also have a pool in our backyard and a trampoline , upstairs there's 4 rooms I'm taking the master bedroom with a walk in closet and bathroom and my brother took the room across from mine and my parents took the room all the way down the hall and there's one extra room that could be considered a guest room .

The house is already set up my dad's boss got it decorated and renovated according to our choice , my room is painted white and the theme is black and white strips I'm not that girly girl after all .

Currently it's 9pm we are all done eating dinner,dad couldn't make it home he had to stay at work so I helped my mom wash up the dishes and now I'm laying in my bed on my phone going through my text messages ..

I open the first one and my heart drops it's from jake ... my boyfriend or should i say ex boyfriend don't get me wrong here we loved each other we've been dating for about 3 years now but I knew the whole long distance thing wouldn't work so I kinda just gave in .

I click on his texts

"i miss you so much han I know we were suppose to act like friends now but it's too hard i can't stop thinking about you 😔 i hope your flight was safe and call me when you get the time I miss you tons babe 💘"

I just sat there for 10 minutes staring at the screen thinking how to reply to that so I just left it there .

I got up from my bed and looked at the body length mirror infront of me . I'm 5'6 I have brown hair with blonde highlights it's really long it touches my lower back I have sea blue eyes and I wouldn't consider myself skinny as a stick because I'm skinny but I've got the curves . I remember in grade 7 when a guy who I liked called me fat since that day I've worked out and got the body I could feel comfortable in .

Rightnow I'm wearing some pj short shorts with a black cami and oh I sleep with my socks on no matter what so I'm wearing some ankle socks .

It's about 11 o'clock Rightnow I finally decided to FaceTime jake and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be ; I had to make some things clear with him. I told him he can date whoever he wants I'm not his girlfriend anymore we were bestfriends first than girlfriend boyfriend so ofcourse I'll stay in touch with him.

I fell asleep around 1am listening to ed sheeran bc I wasn't exactly sure if I wanted to think about going to a new school meeting new people I wasn't really good at that.

I guess I'll have to get used to my new life.
