"What has our brother gotten himself into now?" Nyx grumbled to Loki before saddling Theodore, the brilliant black stallion that shone with rich brown eyes.

Loki threw the reins over his beauty before running his hand over her nose and up her muzzle. "If this makes things better. I agree with Thor. But he's disobeying father and I can't believe he's actually going to throw us into battle without Father's blessing." Loki explained thoughtfully, not daring to look away from his mare's eyes who were as attentive as his, only they bore brown rather than blue.

"I don't." Nyx made sure to state her opinion as clearly as possible about Yodenheim. "Yes they broke their treaty. But I have faith in Father to make the right decision. I mean he's only ruled Asgard for 2000 years. So why would he so carelessly throw us into a war we don't need to be in now?" Nyx brushed Theodore before feeding him a snack and climbing on top of him.

"I understand your views but Father is old. Times are changing. He doesn't understand how those cold-blooded creatures are now. Peace is the best solution but it's not always the most effective."

Loki stared at the Goddess of Desire as she mounted her horse with swiftness, still able to look as elegant as ever when she did so. Loki couldn't understand how mounting a horse could look so proper and feminine but when it was Nyx, it always did.

Nyx felt her stomach burst with anticipation as she sat on her horse, watching as Loki stroked his horse thoughtfully, obviously fond of the animal and then climbing on top of her.

"Strange being the top horse?" Nyx tried to ask with no sign of sarcasm present on her face but she couldn't help but smile and choke back the laugh rising from her throat. But when Loki turned in absolute disgust, Nyx couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"I was five-hundred-years years old. Would you forget about that?!" Loki rolled his eyes and began trotting in front of Nyx. She didn't let her laugh die down as she began riding towards him, deep in thought of the memory of Loki lying in the middle of the woods with just his his pants on, which seemed drenched in a liquid that smelled all too ripe to be normal to come from his body. Loki refused to talk to anybody for a month after that. Then he spoke to his brother and sister about the occasion and though Thor and Nyx both understood him with respect, they still had to tease him about it years later. Because that was what siblings did... right?

Nyx had to wipe away the tears rolling down her face as she approached Thor and Sif who were smiling affectionately at one another and finally Thor let out a soft chuckle before Loki neared him, then followed by his sister.

Nyx felt her laugh die within her as she approached Thor and his glisteningly white steed. Loki smiled over his shoulder at Nyx and suddenly she felt more comfortable with making the joke she did moments before. She knew how embarrassing it was for Loki to admit what happened in the forest, but he did it to protect his kingdom and being a prince there was not much he could do on his own. But even though Nyx didn't find it as hilarious as she wanted to, she made fun of the situation Loki got himself into. So now, with Loki smiling gloriously back at her, she felt better about the possibility of hurting her brother, then that same smile seemed to ease the stress of battle to come.

"Loki!" Thor rumbled, redirecting his attention to the task at hand, getting past Heimdall. Loki stared at his brother expectantly, watching as his face hardened in thought. "Have you a handle on how to persuade Heimdall?" he asked, both out of curiosity and hope to speak with his brother before battle.

"Oh, Brother," Loki chuckled, throwing his head back slightly doing so."I can talk my way in and out of anything. I think I can handle a simple guardian of the Nine Realms" he rolled his eyes with delight hidden in his words.
