Heimdall stood at the Observatory controls with a bright and brilliant sword between his hands. Heimdall pulled the sword from the controls and backed away from Odin out of respect for his royal highness.
"Why did you bring us back?" Thor was also upset, not understanding the behavior of his father, not throughly comprehending what he did was so wrong.
"Do you realize what you've done? What you've started?" Odin did not care that he exploded in rage in front of Thors peers. He could not contain his furiousness and Thor's anger was only added to the fire boiling within Odin's veins.
As Nyx and Loki fell back to Asgard, they both gave out from their feet. Loki was better at hiding his pain but Nyx also knew he was as readable as a book when she looked into his eyes. His eyes held every tragedy she could think of but mournful. He'd been treated differently when growing up but Nyx didn't know what to say to comfort him in those situations.
Nyx clung to Loki in attempt to fuel her energy but failed. They remained on the ground as their hearts raced in attempt to pump more blood through their bodiea to recover from the overpowering use of magic during their battle.
"I was protecting my home" Thor tried to explain but the bloodlust of battle was still rattling his insides.
"You cannot protect your friends. How can you hope to protect your kingdom? Look at your brother and sister!" Odin ordered, pointing down at the pair as they lay knelt on the ground in exhaust.
Odin then turned to his other children.
"Do you wish to rest before further order?" he asked his children who he knew were stronger than any other people he knew. He understood they were capable of staying longer, but he wanted them to be comfortable and not have to suffer just for his orders.
"No" Loki spoke first.
"We'll go in a moment" she assured.
"In the meantime, leave me with my children" Odin waved the others away. On command, Sif, Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral who still dripped in his own blood hurried down the rainbow bridge in attempt to obey their orders.
"There won't be a kingdom to protect if you're afraid to act!" Thor stared back at Odin, still managing to contain his pride.
"Whatever the cost, the world must know that the new King of Asgard will not be held contempt" Thor continued.
"That's pride and vanity that talks! Not leadership!" Odin growled, slowly gaining the respect he deserved by all three of his children, with Thor's anger growing into irritation."Have you forgotten everything I've taught you? What of a warrior's patience, cunning?".
"While you wait and be patient, the Nine Realms laugh at us!" Thor accused Odin. Nyx thought for a moment he was coming to his senses. Yes, Thor remained consistent to replay the same defense, but he was no longer yelling or fizzling in rage, he seemed calmer.
"The old ways are done. You'd stand giving speeches while Asgard falls" Thor explained.
"You're vain, greedy, and cruel boy!" Odin shouted, Nyxs senses were shot, a crashing static of water invaded her hearing as she cringed away from the internal pain of her fathers thunderous voice rattling her nerves further.
"And you're an old man and a fool!" Thor shouted back, not helping Nyx in the situation. Loki never failed to let go of Nyxs stiffening body, though he was aware how sentimental it made him seem, the feeling of her tensing made him feel worse.
Odin fell silent, Loki staring back at the pair in anticipation, a small part of him finding joy in Odin yelling at Thor for his wrongdoing.
As Odin spoke again, there was something terrifying beneath the calmness of his voice."A fool, yes. I was a fool to think you were ready" something trembled on the tip of his tongue and Nyx was prepared for the worst at the sound.
Then his voice beamed again, replacing the terrifying meaning of his words with certainty and sureness.
"Thor Odinson..." he trailed off, correcting his son in the process."You have disobey the express command of your King. Through your arrogance and stupidity, you have opened these peaceful Realm and innocent lives to the horrors of war" Nyx shot up in immediate protest, imagining the worst as her father began the pardon.
"Don't do this, Father" Nyx spoke with a warning tone in her voice, she knew what her brother had done was wrong, he was not fit to be king yet... but she was sure he would be. She didn't think his punishment should be something as strong as Odin was implying.
"Silence!" he yelled."This is none of your concern" he ordered her into silence. Loki hurried to catch her before she fell again, pushing past his initial exhaust from before and aiding his nearly limp sister. She fell back and struggled to help Loki keep her on her feet.
Odin plunged Gungnir, the bright and mighty sword into the Observatory controls after he retrieved it from Heimdall who remained close to one of the walls of the great dome. The turret turned, the energy of the BiFrost built in their wake, and it seemed almost poetic for Odins rage to build with its energy. The portal opened up and the room was illuminated in tragically beautiful colors of blue and red, then yellow and orange.
"You are unworthy of this Realm..." Odin turned angrily towards Thor, ripping a disc off of Thors chest, then ripping away Thors cloak."...unworthy of your title...".
"...unworthy of the loved ones you've betrayed..." and with that Nyx fell to the ground, overwhelmed with the guilt Odins words brought to her.
"I hereby take from you your powers" and then Nyxs stomach clutched uneasily. Odin's hand flew to Thors shoulder, gripping him harshly as Mjolnir was ripped from Thors grasp and flung into Odins palm.
"In the name of my father..." a sliver of lightning sparked from the hammer and touched Thor's chest, his armor zapping from existence."...and his father before..." and another feather light touch of lightning came towards Thor, leaving him in vulnerable and unprotected.
Thors lip quivered in fear and betrayal. He knew he couldn't do anything to prevent what was about to happen, but he was terrified, he'd never been alone and left unprotected before. He always had some sort of protection, whether that be his armor, his palace title, or his own family. He always had it, and now he was about to be cast out of his own home to a place he hardly knew. He didn't know where he was going but he hoped it was somewhere that would treat him kindly.
"I cast you out!" Odin shouted, thrusting Mjolnir before Thor and with a crack of thunder, Thor hurled backwards, disappearing in the chaos of the BiFrost. Nyx struggled to keep her eyes open but caught the glimpse of Odin whispering to the hammer in his hand before casting it out with Thor. Then as quickly as it came, the BiFrost was closed as Gungnir twisted it close at the hand of Odin.
Then, as the loud booming of voices and whispers of crackling static disappeared, Nyxs head was invaded by blackness, a spiraling hole of nothingness.
Short and I apologize but I found this a good stopping point and it also prevents me from making a super long chapter for you guys. So I hope you enjoyed. I love y'all
