"We should have never let him go" Volstagg glowered, slowly shaking his head in disappointment for not realizing how idiotic Thors plan truly was.

Everyone brooded around the roaring central fire in the middle of the room. Sif was carefully folded into a large chair, spared of her armor which was replaced with a softer blue material as everyone was granted a night of relaxation. Fandral was still clutching his abdomen where he had been stabbed before, blood still staining the armor he continued to wear. Volstagg still reeked of sweat as he also did not change out of his battle gear and Hogun was lounging beside them with a gloomy expression on his face.

"There was no stopping him" Sif commented.

Loki was pacing the space around them as he worried the inside of his mouth. He watched as Volstagg reached and caressed the place his skin had blackened by the necrotizing Frost Giant's touch. There was a remaining shock within Volstagg that made him touch his arm affectionately. It was far from relieving to watch a young female warrior withstand his pain. He felt beyond guilty, a small part of him wishing he still had frost burn playing on his skin to soothe his uneasiness.

Loki bent his head and stared at his unharmed arm, pale and untouched. He ran his hand over the undamaged skin and replayed the scene of the deep blue that laced his skin at the touch of the attacking Jotun.

"At least he is only banished, not dead. Which is what we'd all be if that guard hadn't told Odin where we'd gone" Fandral said with a thankful expression across his face.

"How did the guard even know?" Volstagg questioned.

Loki stared at his arm, still stunned at the thought of turning blue without any explanation as to how or why. "I told him" Loki confessed.

"What?" Fandral exclaimed incredulously.

"I told him to go to Odin after we left. Though he should be flogged for taking so long" Loki said in disgust.

"You told the guard?!" Volstagg got to his feet, followed by Sif, Hogun, and lastly Fandral.

"I saved our lives, and Thors!" Loki defended, realizing how the others reacted to his truth. "I had no idea Father would banish him for what he did" Loki admitted.

"Loki, you're the only one who can help Thor now" Sif grew closer, not wanting to believe Loki, a keen ally of Asgard, asked for Odin in Jotunheim."You must go to the Allfather and convince him to change his mind" Sif argued.

She was standing closest to Loki as she grew with hope. She did not want to believe that she had missed him so much, but she did. She wanted him back. She missed having someone to argue with, someone who knew exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it, she wanted someone to mention how strong and capable she was, she wanted Thor back.

"And if I do, then what?" Loki began. "I love Thor more dearly than any of you," Loki immediately regretted saying his words aloud. His initial thoughts were to assure his fellow Asgardians that he meant well, but as his words left his mouth, he regretted telling them how much he loved Thor. It was an accident to mention one of his greatest weaknesses to the people around him, let alone repeat them out loud. "But you know what he is? He's arrogant. He's reckless. He's dangerous. You saw how he was today" Loki urged.

"He put each of your lives at steak. Fandral," he addressed. "You were sliced open, bleeding on that battlefield and to think" his eyebrows furrowed in disgust. "if it was not for Lady Nyx both you, and Volstagg, would be either dead or close to it" Loki passionately explained. "Do you think that is what Asgard needs from its King?" he questioned his piers. He did not think they could possibly still have the same opinion as they had before.
