TW: mention of suicide.

There were a few things in Nyx's mother's spellbook. She knew she needed to gain her strength back, and finding new ways to perserve her powers were going to help her do that. She practised new methods of using her powers, healing spells, protection spells, history on pure magic. She was learning more and more each day that passed.

She awed over her grandmother's handwriting which was beautiful against the weathering pages of the aging book in her glowing palms.

She worked on concentration and finding roots to the energy within her. By focusing on the stability of her powers, she was able to use her energy more accordingly. Even after hours of reading and practicing, she still felt just as energized as she was when she woke up.

After a few more days of suffering to get healthier, gain weight, build muscle, train, and talk, Nyx made it through the week. She managed to read over two-hundred pages of her mother's book which only left a few more pages until she read the entirety of her grandmother's writings. Thor promised her after a week of getting better, they could go to Midgard; just the two of them. And Nyx was proud to say she was able to conceal all of what Loki and her spoke about from her beloved brother.

She couldn't tell Thor what to expect. She spoke with Heimdall and he promised to keep it to himself until the day came that they left. He had no choice but to tell the Allfather and even though she warned Loki of this, he didn't stop. He wouldn't stop until he was a ruler.

Nyx couldn't sleep much with this knowledge. She felt like she slept enough but it wasn't enough. The morning of their arrival on Midgard greeted Nyx with bright clear skies with underlying chaos.

She didn't eat that morning but told Thor she was eating breakfast with Zillah. She did go to her best friend, but not with the things she wanted to go to her with. She wanted to talk about boy problems and Princess issues but she couldn't. She couldn't do much when the one person she could talk to about anything was the one causing the downfall of Midgard, galaxies away, and refusing to listen to rationality. He was a very emotive person and sometimes that was his biggest weakness. He refused Nyx's advice and she had a feeling when she arrived, things wouldn't go as simply as she hoped.

Zillah pinned Nyx's hair back into a tight bun, sparkly pins sticking out of her golden strands, illuminating the paleness of her skin. After dressing in battle gear and having her hair done, Nyx was off to find Thor.

She spoke with a few guardsmen who claimed he was in the training room with Sif and the Warriors Three. Such a surprise. She hurried down there before they went off to Titan for some reprimanding and consoling. She was lucky enough to catch them on their way out.

"Thor!" she called out. He turned and told everyone to go ahead, that he'd meet them at the BiFrost.

"Thor, when do we leave?" she asked as she came to a halt, hoping his visit to Titan would be shortlived so she could see him.

Thor looked downcast, a dust of anger pigmented his skin but those eyes spoke serenity. "Heimdall had told Father that Loki has found himself in New York, causing an outright protest amongst Midgardians," he explained painfully.

"Yes, that's why I assumed we would leave as soon as possible."

"So you knew?" he narrowed his eyes at her, shaking his head with disbelief. "Of course you knew, you know everything about him!" Thor cried out, the sarcasm hitting Nyx like a sudden force to the head.

"Thor, when are we leaving. We don't have time to bicker." she spat back instantly.

Thor hummed amusingly. "I'm not taking you."
