How it happened.

The weeks that went by

Astrids POV.
It'd felt like I'd been asleep for years, I longed to see him again. I didn't know how long I'd been away, or if we were seen still at sea. I had no sense of time, sight, blurred hearing, and no feeling. What was happening? I usually know what to do at all times, with Hiccup around, but now he isn't with me, I... I don't know what to do. Sometimes I thought he didn't love me anymore, because if he did then he would've come with us, but then again he has a duty to the people. I understand that berk has to come first, for everyone... even him. It doesn't for me, he'll always...always come first for me.
"THERE HERE, GET THE HEALER READY! " screamed a voice.
Who is that, I don't recognise their voice, I was picked up by someone.
"It's okay, Astrid we getting you help." Valka said to me.
Then I heard a voice that I thought I'd never hear again.
"Astrid? Astrid you going to be okay, I'm here." Said the voice.
...HEATHER! I wished I could jump right up and hug her tight, I missed her so much. So now I knew where I was on...buzerker island. Mala and Dagger were bound to be here too. I was rushed to a hut where they checked me over and thought of the best treatment to give me.

ONE WEEK LATER.

It took them a while to figure out what was the best approach to wake me up. They injected me with a cold liquid that shot through me and awoke everything, they then syringed a sour tasting liquid into my mouth. IT WORKED! The feeling began to rise up through my toes, then my legs and all the way up to my head, I felt my eyes flutter open to reveal Heather, Valka, Gothi, Dagger, Mala and their healer were stood over me.
"ASTRID!" They all screamed in excited unison.
They all hugged me and I was taken back slightly, but slowly melted into it. I then hugged Heather individually.
"I missed you so much." I screeched.
"Me too." She did the same.
I was glad to see her, but I wanted to see Hiccup again.
"As much as I love you Heather, I need to see Hiccup." I sadly told her.
"It's okay, I understand, go, I'll come visit soon." She replied.
"Thank you... thank you all for helping me, I'm forever great full." I smiled.
They all nodded and me, Valka and Gothi rushed out and back down to our boat, Heather followed us, and as we set off I screamed goodbye and she did too.

Hiccups POV.
The days were going slower, and becoming harder I was struggling, but tried not to show it, I think the gang and Gobber knew. I was helping out wherever I could to keep myself busy, sometimes it worked but the other times it didn't. I hung out with the gang to help anchor me back down from my own world. They cheered me up a lot.

ONE WEEK LATER

I was sound asleep when Gobber and the gang ran in my tent.
"HICCUP!" They all screamed.
I shot up, scared out of my skin.
"Oh hey, what's the matter?" I was half asleep and yawned.
"There's a boat heading are way..." Gobber said quickly.
A boat? Why are they telling me about a boat, I suddenly became wide awake as I realised what he meant.
"Astrid..." I said in a loud whisper.
I leapt up and speed out the tent and they all followed me down to the docks, I couldn't help but grin on the way down, I was overjoyed. As I reached the start of the dock they all caught up to me, I stood still.
"What? What's going on I can't see... why's he stood still?" I heard Ruff say.
I saw her jump out the boat, my heart sunk to the bottom of my body, she's hear, she's really here. I began to tear up, I started running towards her, she did the same and as we got closer it revealed that she was also crying. We got closer, and closer and I was smiling even wider, and wider. We got to each other and passionately kissed each other. We pulled away and hugged tightly resting our heads near each other's.
"I t-thought I was... I was never gonna see you again" she said.
"Me too... but I'm here now, and I'm never leaving you again, you here me?" I told her
"I was so scared, I didn't know what to do without you." She stammered as she spoke.
I pulled away and looked into her eyes.
"Your okay though, aren't you?" I had to make sure she was okay.
"I am now." She said.
I pulled her in and kissed her forehead, I missed her so much. The gang came up and hugged her, greeting her back home. I went up to my mother, hugged her and thanked her for saving her. I walked back up to the guys laughing. There it was that beautiful laugh I deeply wished to here again.
"Yeah, he was miserable without you." Snotlout said.
She looked at me and I nodded in agreement, she grabbed my hand and I squeezed hers tight, she kissed my cheek. The weeks that went by were awful, but she's back and i love her so much.
