Hiccups POV
We stood their and hugged for a long time, I was so happy she forgave me, I didn't think she ever would. I could feel her breathing against my chest and I looked down and stroked her hair away from her eyes and saw they were closed.
"Astrid?" I whispered.
I smiled and moved my arm underneath her knees and lifted her up, her beautiful sleeping face rested lightly down. I walked upstairs to my room and pushed open the door and took her through. I got to the bed and placed my hands on the bed and slid my hands from underneath her body and rested her head slowly down to the pillow. I pressed my lips against her forehead and stroked her hair, I left the room and went back down stairs. I began to make lunch so it'd be ready when she got up, I placed the pot above the fire on the metal frame. As the water was boiling I cut up the fish and threw it in, to make a stew. After the fish was half done I did the potatoes, the carrots and let it all heat up together. Bubbles began to form on the surface of the water, signalling me to take it off the fire. I did so and put it down on a board which was sitting on the ground, I let it cool down. This was her favourite so I thought I'd surprise her with it, whilst it was cooling down I tidied up. I waited a few minutes and took a big spoon, I dipped the spoon into the hot stew and pulled it back out. I lifted it to my mouth and blew long and hard, I put it in my mouth. The boiling water hit my tongue and burnt it.
"AGH!"
Astrid came running down the stairs and stopped at the bottom.
"What's the matter? What happened?"
"Oh, it's fine I just burnt my mouth, I'm sorry I woke you."
She walked over to me.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
She sniffed and looked over her shoulder.
"Hiccup?... you didn't!?"
I nodded.
"I wanted to surprise you but-." I gestured to my mouth.
"Thank you." She said.
I went over and poured us half each in a bowl, and placed a spoon in each.
"Just be careful it's hot." I said passing it to her.
She smiled and took the bowl from my hands, her fingers tracing over the end of the spoon. Her hand closed itself around the metal and pulled it from the substance in the wooden bowl. She blew on it and opened her mouth and put it in. I did the same and we both swallowed.
"This is delicious." She said.
I laughed and we both carried on eating until we finished.
"Hey, I've been meaning to ask you... um would you wanna... erm... move your stuff in here?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'd love too." She responded.
"When do you want to do it?"
"We have time now." She said.
I smiled at her and she smiled back, we left the house and walked hand in hand to her's. we got there and she opened the door, we looked around at all the stuff she had.
"What do you want to take?" I asked her.
"I don't mind, I don't want to clog up your house."
"It's okay, Astrid, whatever you want is absolutely fine."
She smiled and started packing all the stuff she wanted, sometimes she'd hesitate and look at me, but I'd nod and let her have whatever she wanted. Once she was all done I helped her take all the stuff to my place. Once we were all done we went up to the great hall to have dinner with the guys and my mom. On the way there me and Astrid talked and laughed. We got to the table where the guys were sat and sat down ourselves.
"How's your day been everyone?" I asked.
They all started talking at once except Astrid, and my mother.
"Guys! Guys on at a time." I laughed.
They then slowed down and told me.
"Well that all sounds great." I said.
"How was your day, chief." Eret asked.
"Well, me and Astrid moved in together."
"That's great!" Fishlegs exclaimed.
Everyone verbally agreed and we all sat and ate, had fun, fun that we hadn't had in a long time.
