CHAPTER 58
Jillian’s POV
After the bloody exams and college week, we’ve finally bounced back on the normal routine. We’ve become the old boring univeristy kids again. It’s not boring—like boring—it’s just that, I’ve been used to the busy schedule and all, and now that we have a lot of free time, I feel like I’m such an unproductive miss. It’s just odd. Before, I loathe anything that could hinder me from being laidback. Maybe change is good, or maybe you just have to change for good.
He chuckled. “Sorry.” He glared at Mitch. I can’t blame him. That’s true. I know my handwriting’s a mess, but hers’ worse.
“Shut up, you ridiculer! I bet that hurt.
“Your friend’s such a drama queen,” Renz told me. I know, right. “I already gave you enough interim, will you lend me your notes now?” he asked after a pause. That caused the poor thing to drop on the floor.
“Pity my bag, dude!” I yelled. He’s practically rummaging my thing like there’s no tomorrow! I don’t write notes. I love photocopying them, though. Well, at times . . . kapag hindi ako tinatamad.” I laughed gauchely.
“What?!” Nanlaki ang kaniyang mga mata sa gulat. Is my laid-backness that ambiguous? I don’t think so. “Paano ka pumapasa?”
“Malakas ako kay Lord,” I kidded. I’m only kidding. I do study well. Siguro hindi lang ako masyadong subsob sa pag-aaral unlike my other classmates. I make sure I find pleasure in studying because if I wouldn’t, maybe I’m going flip everything and forget about my life.
What a smart advice! Tunay na kaibigan talaga.
Napailing na lamang ng ulo si Renz. “Anyway, anong plano natin sa Saturday? I hope you didn’t move the call time,” he said, shifting the topic.
“You’re so stupid! What do you want, then? Think about the distance, traffic and of course, the kids!” Her voice simmered down. “At isa pa, we girls need to fix a lot of things,” she sheepishly added. Actually, that’s her main concern.
