Chapter 59
Jillian’s POV
Saturday morning was a blast. Nakatulog ako nang maaga kagabi dahil agad akong pinauwi nina Mitch. I don’t get them. I still wanted to help last night but they kept on pushing me away, which left me with a speculation that maybe they don’t want me to ruin whatever they want to cook for tomorrow. Rude people they are. Hindi naman ganoon kasama ang luto ko. Plus, I could give them a hand. Pwede kong tikman ang mga luto. I could lead the commentaries.
But I couldn’t thank them enough for giving me a grand day. It feels like something awesome will happen today. Maybe it just has something to do with my The Vampire Diaries’ dream last night. Damon saved me from a legion of people who wanted to hurt me. Isn’t that something to be happy about?
I was already packed and ready to go when my phone vibrated. Si Mitch lang pala.
Hi, pretty! Punta ka na dito. Dalian mo dahil miss na kita. Tanda mo na talaga. I love you.
I can’t help but twitch my eyebrows as I read the message. Weird talaga. What kind of necromancy has happened to her?
Shrugging the zaniness, I still replied, On the way na ako.
They wouldn’t pull anything like that, right? I hope so because they are really scaring me to the core.
When I was done with everything, I went to outisde and gently dropped down my things to be able to close the door. Before I went out of my home, I prayed that everything will be okay. I hope that I’ll be able to enjoy this day. I deserve a life—a good one.
Thirty minutes did it. When I arrived, I greeted them and they replied in unison. Are we still in a chorale or something?
“Nice outfit, Aicelle,” puna ko sa kaniya.
“Inggitera ka,” she snorted. Inggitera agad? She could have said thank you. I was complimenting her. It wasn’t out of sarcasm.
Parang may kulang kasi.
We’ll see him there, Miss,” she said. My face blushed out of embarrassment. Could it be that I was unconsciously waiting for him?
“Hindi naman,” I denied harshly. But looking at her roguish grin, I could tell that she isn’t in the business of buying any of my demurrers.
Those two never fail on brawling.
