PAIGE
I was running on the highway when I approached the cattle guard that separated the road and the dirt road.

I was running on the ground and entered the beginning of the Summit. It gave me the creeps, but I still ran through.

I reached my house and stopped. I was starting to get hot from the sun, I smiled to myself when Rocket ran up to me.

Rocket is a German Shepherd, dad brung him home after he completed his training. He protects the house and seems all high and mighty but is really the biggest baby on earth.

He whimpered and jumped on me. I pushed him off not wanting his muddy prints on my jacket.

"Get off" I said as he ran after one a moth that flew by. He was so weird.

I opened the door and heard someone rummaging through the kitchen getting ready to cook, it was most likely my mom.

Since she has her own business, she works from home on her own hours. She still takes trips down, but never extends them. She visits for a couple days then comes home.

I kicked off my shoes and entered the kitchen. She smiled when she saw me, "Let me guess"

"You visited him again?" my mom asked, giving me a sympathetic look as I sat down on the bar stool.

She was talking about gramps.

"Yeah, I couldn't fall back to sleep" I said as she nodded

I couldn't tell my family what I was dreaming about. They would've thought I was going crazy.

"Oh we're going to see Grandma today. Janet said she's having more of a rough time than usual, she really wants to see us, mostly you" she said before turning around

"Oh ok" I said, confused. Grandma is probably someone I could talk to about this. She wouldn't think I was so crazy, right?

"Hungry?" She asked, as she began cutting potatoes.

"Starving" I answered as she smiled.

"Go wake your brothers, breakfast will be done in half an hour" she said as I nodded making my way to my brothers rooms.

I walked into my little brothers room, I opened the door and saw him sleeping soundly holding onto his Iron Man plushy.

I smiled, he liked anything I loved. Everyone called him my little shadow, he liked me more than Lucas.

He had Iron Man and Spider-Man toys scattered around his room floor and Avengers posters on his wall.

I walked up to his bed and sat beside him. He looked so peaceful as he slept, I put my hand on his head and parted his hair.

He stirred in his sleep, as I continued to trace over his eyes and nose. "Get up Cole" I said softly.

His eyes fluttered open as he gave me a toothy smile, he sat up and wrapped his arms around me.

"Good morning Swishy" he said as I practically died. He was so soft, Cole deserved the world.

"Morning bud" I smiled as I played with his hair, "Moms making breakfast then after we're going to see Grandma"

"Ok" he yawned as I got up then turned around, "Don't forget to brush your teeth"

"I know I know" he smiled as he put on his glasses.

I walked out softly closing the door and made way for Lucas' room. I knocked and there was no answer.

Oh so I have to wake up from nightmares while my stupid brother gets to sleep in?

Cool cool cool very cool

I saw him sleeping in the weirdest position. I shook my head, stifling a laugh.

I walked up to him and shook him awake, he stirred and finally woke up.

"Oh morning P" he smiled, showing his braces

"Morning, mom said get dressed because we're going to grandmas. And breakfast will be done in 30" I said

"Alright, I have time" he said before laying back in bed and closing his eyes

I sighed and turned around, I walked out and closed the door behind me and went to my room, it the last one.

Before I walked in, I looked to my left side. That was my older brother Eric's room, after he graduated he left town.

Gramps had a special mission for him and only him, he sent him off to another country. We haven't seen him since.

I miss him a lot.

I sighed and walked in, taking off my jacket. I threw it on my swirly chair and went into my bathroom.

I turned on the hot water and let it warm up. While I waited, I undressed and threw my dirty clothes in the hamper.

I untied my hair and stepped into the shower, it relaxed my tense muscles as I sighed.

While I was in there I washed my hair with my strawberry shampoo, then I conditioned my hair and let it set as I washed down my body.

I washed out the last of the soap and stepped out draping a towel over my body. I dried my hair to the best of my ability, which didn't work and walked to my closet.

I picked out ripped skinny jeans and a yellow champion sweatshirt, for shoes I put on old skool white vans.

I brushed my hair and left it down, my grandma adored my hair so I always left it down when we would visit her.

I grabbed my phone and opened my room door to be hit with the smell of potatoes, eggs and bacon that made my stomach growl.

I practically skipped down the stairs and saw my family sitting at the table. I sat down next to Cole and my food was already waiting.

It was just my moms special potatoes and bacon, she knew how much I hated eggs.

"Thank you mama" I smiled and began eating. Cole was eating his food cutely and quietly as Lucas was having a full on feast.

That boy could eat and eat and not get fat.

He's into sports like me, he plays football, he wrestles and played baseball. He followed Eric's footsteps.

As for me I run cross-country, play basketball and run track.

He's good at sports but is really lazy. Like me, that's probably the only thing we're identical in.

We finished not soon after and I helped with dishes and cleaned up after everyone. We were finally off to see Grandma.
