PAIGE;
I tossed and turned in my bed before giving up and opening my eyes.I wanted to be mad that I can't fall back to sleep but I couldn't. I learned to accept that I wasn't going to get a good sleep for who knows how long.
I unplugged my phone from its charger and unlocked it. It was the last day of August and tomorrow is Jungkook's birthday.
I smiled when I remembered what happened yesterday. We shared our first kiss by a beautiful sunset and it was more than magical.
Before we kissed for the first time, we both waited.
We both took a second to look at each other. We were so new, yet so unfamiliar. Then, I didn't know how he tasted, how his hands would be pressed against my skin, how he'll breathe. I knew I wouldn't see him like this again.
I looked at him wanting - the apprehension in his eyes. He didn't know either. In his mind I was uncharted territory.
Isn't that special?
I kept it. That how I'll never lose him. Every so often afterwards I looked at him through his eyes. I didn't lose that wonder and I definitely didn't lose that spark.
I sat up from my bed and sighed, today was Friday. There was an assembly for the seniors that's going to last for who knows how long and another football game tonight.
This time it was against one of the schools that sucked, so we were bound to get this dub.
I sat up from bed after contemplating for a bit and went to pick an outfit for today, it was a bit gloomy out.
After some time of browsing I finally settled on my outfit of the day. I got dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans, an ash grey t-shirt and a burgundy red bomber jacket along with my black and white converse.
I brushed out my hair and started braiding a strand back then pinned it. It's been a while since I've had my hair like this and I kind of missed it.
I grabbed my bag and my phone went off. I checked it to find a message from my coach, he said there was no practice today.
I silently cheered to myself, I actually wasn't looking forward to practice today.
I put on my bag and exited my room. I walked down the stairs and dropped my bag by the front door before meeting up with the rest of my family in the dining room.
Everyone was there eating, even my dad. It finally felt like a normal morning, we haven't been eating with everyone like this.
Our family time has been getting short since Eric was sent away and before the animal and human killings happened.
My dad was drinking his coffee, wearing his sheriff uniform and reading the newspaper. My mom was responding to emails like she usually does, while the boys were eating.
"Morning Ryder family" I smiled and gave my dad a peck on the cheek along with my mom.
My dad may be a hard ass while he's working but he always cracks a toothy grin when I show him affection.
Everyone replied with either a smile or a "Morning".
I tousled Cole's hair as he smiled and fixed it back in place. I sat in my chair at the table and smiled, it felt good to be like this again.
"You seem rather chipper this morning" Lucas spoke up with suspicion laced in his voice and along with the look he was giving me.
I smiled and dished myself out, waffles and sausage.
"Let the girl be, there should be at least one person who's this happy in the morning" Dad spoke and gave me a reassuring wink.
"Anyways, what's on everybody's agendas today" Mom asked setting her phone down.
"School and football" Lucas answered as I nodded with him.
After that everyone talked about the outcome of the game. I bet that it was going to be a blowout.
We all heard a honk outside and I stood up, smiling. I walked into the kitchen and put my plate in the sink then put on my school bag.
"Lover boy is here" Eric said from the dining room table.
I blushed and walked back towards them, "Well I hope you have a good day" Mom said as I nodded and hugged her.
I pecked my dads cheek along with Cole and punched Eric's arm as he whined with waffles in his mouth.
I exited my house closing the door afterwards and walked up to Jungkooks car. I smiled when I saw him leaning against the passenger door.
"Good morning Paige" he smiled.
"Good morning Jungkook" I smiled, well more like blushed. I couldn't believe we actually kissed yesterday.
He started to lean in but I stopped him by putting my fingers against his lips.
"Not yet, there are a few eyes watching us" I said as he looked towards my house.
I imagined my whole family looking at us through the dining room window. He looked at me while his face grew red as I took my finger back.
"I'm sorry" he said and leaned away as I shook my head.
"Don't be" I said as he smiled. He opened the door then took my bag and set it with his.
He moved out of the way and opened the passenger side for me and closed the door before running to get in his side. I chuckled at his behavior, he was too cute.
Once he got inside and buckled up, I grabbed his chin and moved his head towards me. I leaned in and softly kissed his top lip.
Then his bottom lip.
I pulled away and took my hand back. I smiled when I saw his expression. His eyes were half opened and his lips were slightly parted.
He looked like he didn't expect that, and boy did I love seeing that look on his face.
His eyes opened and he stared at me like I drank all of his banana milk.
"You know, if we stay here much longer we're going to be late for school" I whispered which seemed to cut him out of his trance.
He blushed and started the car.
JUNGKOOK;
