My brothers watch as I pace back and forth in Jin's office. My mind continues to make up scenarios about the worst that could be happening right now.

It's been a few hours since Jin left to help Paige and the longer he's gone is starting making me crazier.

It started like any ordinary night.

We sat in the living room, waiting for Jin and Namjoon to get started. Then out of nowhere, I felt my heart clench in my chest and my breathing stopped. I was sharing the same terrified emotion as Paige.

That has to be the scariest moment of my life, feeling what Paige felt but not being able to help.

Whatever it was left me scarred, I couldn't see what was happening but the feeling was worse. It added to my emotions and Paige's.

Before anyone else could sense Jin, I was the first to see him as he arrived.

"Jin!" I exclaim as he jumps, "What happened?!"

Jin sighs and looks at me sadly, "Let's sit down". He passes me and walks into his office where everyone else is waiting.

I follow after him, eager to know what happened. He walks around his desk and sits in his chair, trying to relax. I stand in front of him,

"What happened?" I ask him again. He looks up at me with a feeling of uncertainness, like he's debating whether or not he should tell me.

"Paige... had a panic attack" Jin reveals with a sigh, "From a nightmare"

I gasp and my heart shatters. That made sense. She has the worst panic attacks. I get sadder when I remember that I couldn't help her like before.

"She's fine now though" Jin adds, "She was scared to be alone while she slept so I stayed with her until her father came back"

I sigh in relief that she was able to get some proper sleep and that she wasn't alone anymore.

"I think... it was him" Jin adds as we look at him, "I think he was trying to taunt her in her dream"

"That bastard" Namjoon grits as Jin nods.

"But I think I chased him away when I arrived. The poor girl wouldn't open her eyes when I asked to come in" he says as I feel tears pricking in my eyes.

"Why is he targeting Paige?" Hoseok asks.

"Every thousand years, a newborn is gifted with a powerful bond located deep within them. This causes them to be a target for vampires. Paige was coincidentally given this gift, that's why he's going after her. For revenge and for the power her blood holds"

More tears shed down.

"Well, are you going to tell us how to beat him?" Taehyung asked, noticing my state.

Jin looks at me and nods. He sits straighter and sighs.

"All my life, my brother has always been a dictator. He calls himself a king but his actions prove him otherwise. He wasn't stopped until he was cursed" Jin explains, "My grandmother, the longest living vampire, died putting a spell on him. But I know that after all this time he was banished, he was finding a way to bind the spell... To turn it around"

"Before he was put under, he was the smartest and the most powerful vampire," Jin notices that we deflate at his words.

He stands up and walks towards the portrait, "But there's a legend that went around saying that if you kill the most powerful vampire, you can take all their powers and claim their spot"
