JUNGKOOK;
After we filled out our information, we were taken to the back where we met Ms. Sunia. She was in charge of the ins and outs of the dogs.

I stood beside her and listened, as she told me the guidelines and boundaries of where we could and couldn't walk.

I felt an empty presence beside me as she finished so I looked. Paige wasn't near me, instead she was squatting in front of a cage.

"Hello momma" she smiled and stuck her fingers inside the holes of the gate petting the dog.

Ms. Sunia also noticed and sighed happily, "I see that your girlfriend found Plum" then smiled at the interaction between the two.

She thought Paige was my girlfriend, that's actually nice.

"She loves dogs" I smiled as we watched Paige and Plum interact more.

"Plum has been with us since her previous family abandoned her. She's an Alaskan husky... and pregnant" she explained.

"Pregnant, wow" I said as she nodded.

"Hey, maybe your girlfriend would like a puppy from our Plum" she smiled as I thought about it.

"Yes, she'd love a puppy" I smiled.

"Ok just give me your information then I'll contact you after she gives birth" I smiled and wrote down my info.

I finished with that, the puppy would be a good surprise for her. I noticed that Rocket was a bit lonely.

Since Plum was pregnant and her and Paige got along so well, we sadly couldn't take her on a walk.

Paige was sad but we were then introduced to James, he lifted up her spirits when we were told that he was a deaf.

He was a beautiful black and white pit bull, a little older than a puppy but still quite playful.

"Oh I get it" Paige spoke with a smile as she rubbed the dogs ears.

James really enjoyed it that he leaned in more and more until he was pressed against her chest.

"Get what?" I curiously asked as I joined her, ruffling the dogs ears.

"James Bond. It looks like he's wearing a suit" She explained.

I looked at his coat then it hit me. You could clearly see a black bowtie that was below his chin.

"Ohh" I trailed as she chuckled.

Ms. Sunia smiled, "You're the first person to catch that"

She then handed me a leash as I hooked it onto James' collar.

James seemed happy that we were taking him on a walk, I was a bit excited as well. We were going to stroll through the park then play with him more after.

"Ready?" I asked Paige as I helped her up from the floor. She nodded as we walked out with the dog happily walking before us.

"What do you want to do after high school?" I asked her as we walked down the path of the park.

"I want to go to Brigham Young University and study to be a Veterinarian" she answered with a smile forming on her lips when I mentioned her future.

"Wow, Utah huh?"

She nodded, "The farther the better"

I smiled at her response, I guess she really is tired of this small town. She did say she's been here her whole life and never left.

"Have you applied?" I asked, she shook her head.

"Not yet, I'm waiting for my current transcript to update" she answered.

"What about you?" She asked and my mind went blank. I've actually never been asked this.

What do I want to do?

"I don't know" I answered truthfully, "I'll just go with whatever's set out for me"

"Well you should definitely think about going to college, I see potential in you. I mean, who knows... maybe you'll get a scholarship for football" she said with a smile.

I smiled as well, Paige really wants me to continue my education. I've never really took thought into it till now.

"I really want a sports scholarship, just the thought of a full ride to my dream school is exciting" She spoke up, I noticed her eyes sparkling more.

"A cross country scholarship?" I asked as she immediately shook her head.

"A basketball scholarship actually, I really want to play ball for their team" she smiled.

I smiled, I completely forgot that she plays basketball. I'm sure she's great at that too.

"Well I know for sure that you'll get the scholarship, every school would want you" I said as she blushed.

"Thanks Jungkook"

I smiled and intertwined our hands together, hers fitting into mine easily. It was perfect.

We were now in a small restaurant, waiting for our food to arrive. We started to talk about our childhood as we waited.

I wish I could tell her about my real background, real stories about my true childhood.

It felt wrong lying to her but I told myself that it was for the best. I would eventually tell her everything when the time came.

I just wanted to enjoy this time I have with her until then, until I tell her that I'm really a monster.

"Here you go, one filet mignon extra rare for the gentleman" the waiter put down my steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.

"And creamy Alfredo fettuccine for the lady"

We both smiled and thanked the waiter before we dug into our foods. As we ate we still talked, it was nice.

She let me have some of her food and I let her have some of my mashed potatoes in return.

When we finished dinner we both debated over dessert. I wanted the hot fudge brownie plate and she wanted the vanilla ice cream.

In the end we got both and shared only to find out that the desserts really went well together.

Once we finished that I paid the check and since it was still early we both decided to go on another walk.

This time around town.

We exited the restaurant and I held out my hand to her, she blushed and put hers in mine with no second thought.

I blushed as well,

'Paige Ryder, what are you doing to me?'
