PAIGE;
It was now Monday morning and to no surprise I woke up at the same dreadful time. I couldn't really complain because by now I was getting really tired it.

The same beginning, the same stupid mistake, and lastly the same ending.

It made me mad because rest is crucial and the most important thing to every athlete. The one thing I could do to relax was now being taken over by my stupid nightmares.

I was too frustrated that I decided to run, I didn't know where but I just had to.

I already had on a pair of spandex so I changed my shirt to a grey long sleeve one and put on my running shoes.

I grabbed my phone and earphones as I slowly walked downstairs. I exited the house from the front to see that my dad already left.

I walked down the path of my front yard and plugged in my earphones. I played a random playlist and held it.

I began running down the dirt road, not really wanting to stretch or walk as a warm up.

I just wanted to run and forget about everything and anything for a moment.

I went down the road and instead of running into town I decided to go to the end of Silverton.

I got back without stopping, once I got to the 'Now leaving Silverton' sign I turned around and made my way back home.

I walked inside and saw my mom beginning to cook breakfast. She didn't hear me as I entered, so I sneaked by and up the stairs.

I felt sweaty and gross from the couple miles run, it really worked to get my mind off things but now I was beyond tired and I wasn't really excited for the day as usual.

I took a warm shower and got dressed. Instead of dressing cute I decided to go comfy.

I slid on a pair of clean black spandex then my grey Nike sweats pants and a black basketball hoodie. I sighed in comfort, oh yeah.

Today's going to be a good day.

I didn't really want to wear a shirt so I just had a sports bra under. I packed an extra shirt for practice and shorts along with my shoes.

I put on some white nike socks and my black nike Airmax 270 shoes, the pair I absolutely loved.

I put my hair in a messy bun after and grabbed my bag along with my phone and trudged down stairs.

Lucas walked out of his room and stared at me until continuing on, he knew something was wrong.

I ignored him and walked into the kitchen where I smelt bacon, my mouth was watering.

I sat down earning a 'good morning' from my mom and Cole. I smiled in response not in the mood to talk, I was still tired.

Mom dished me out as I began eating, "How'd you sleep?" She asked leaning over the counter sipping her coffee.

"Not so good, if I'm being honest" I simply stated.

"Are you taking your pills?" She asked as I almost choked on my food.

I cleared my throat and poked at my leftovers, "Not exactly"

"Paige" my mom started with a sigh,

I cut her off, "I know, it's just I keep forgetting" I lied, the truth was that I always hated taking pills and would they really work?

She sighed and nodded, "Ok just don't forget next time"

I nodded and looked at the time, "I should probably go"

"I'll drive you and Xavier today" Lucas said as he finished his breakfast and stood up.

"You don't ha-"

"Let's go" he said as he took my arm and dragged me along with him.

"Have a good day, you two" mom shouted as we looked back,

"Love you and you too" we replied to her at the same time.

We looked at each other in disgust, as the door closed. We hated it when we said the same thing at the same time.

Twin telepathy is a myth.

I snapped out of it and took my arm away from his hold and walked to his truck.

Yeah, a truck. My twin brother, older by two minutes, has a truck.

I walked to the passenger side as he got in the driver side. I placed my bag on the floor and put my seatbelt on before laying my head on the window.

Lucas looked at me before pulling out of the driveway and made his way down the dirt road.

"You know" he started as he turned onto the main road, "You should stop running farther than you intend to"

Lucas could tell that I was tired, he could read my like a book. I sometimes hated him for that.

I sighed, and closed my eyes. I didn't want to listen to a lecture, especially from him.

"You're tiring yourself out, it's not good" he started talking again,

"I know you haven't been getting sleep but running won't get you back those lost hours"

"Running helps, sometimes" I muttered as he turned on Xavier's street.

"I get that, but you tire yourself out more. You have to stop pushing yourself, just relax" he said as I sighed.

He wouldn't understand.

He isn't the one having those stupid dreams that are apparent warnings.

He also isn't the one that's having a hard time trying not to believe them.

He parked in front of the light grey house that belonged to my best friend. I looked at it before looking at my brother.

"I'm worried for you Paige. I hear you get up early in the morning and walk out of the house to run, it's a daily routine of yours" he softly said as I looked down.

"I don't want you to hurt yourself, I've read stories about this shit. You could injure yourself or tear something, I mean you already wear KT tape." He added as I sighed.

"I'm sorry ok, is that what you want to hear? I just don't have that much luck staying asleep" I said.

"I know Ping, I know... but just try" he softly pleaded. My eyes watered at the sound of my nickname he, and only he, called me.

I slowly nodded.

"Promise me" He held out his pinky, I looked at it and played with my sleeve. We used to do this a lot when we were kids, and I never break a pinky promise.

This wasn't the first time we've had a conversation like this but it felt different this time.

The love, bond and memories were still there.

"I promise" I whispered as I hooked my pinky with his. He let out a sigh of relief, I could see that his eyes were watering as well.

He hasn't called me Ping since we both started middle school, I missed it. Before and since then everyone else called me Swishy.

I kinda liked being called Swishy but Ping brought back more cherish-able memories.

We let go of our pinkies and the back door was opened. I turned and wiped my eyes, if Xavier saw me crying he'd yell at Lucas even if he didn't know the whole background story.

"Hey party people" he greeted as I chuckled.

"Hey loser" I smiled as he laughed as well.

"Let's go to hell" Lucas spoke as he shifted the gear in drive and we truly were on our way to hell.
