JUNGKOOK;
My hands gripped harder at my steering wheel as I turned into the road that lead towards the house.I spent the whole day comforting Paige, she was a bit shaken up from this morning and I wanted to be there for her.
It hurt me to see her in such a mood. I couldn't imagine the emotions she was feeling.
Her coach was just shot in the chest with a weapon, and not just any kind.
It was a hunters arrow.
I noticed that the weapon itself was made with real silver, and not that fake stuff.
This though, was the real deal.
There was also a marking on the sides of it but I couldn't exactly make it out. My focus was on something more important, Paige.
I parked and got out of my car, slamming the door in the process. I felt my eyes watering, I haven't cried in a long time but this time I felt more vulnerable.
What if it WAS Paige?
I don't think I can live without her, I can't. I need her.
I just found her after all of these years and I am not going to let her go anytime soon.
The sun was setting as I headed into the house, once I closed the door Taehyung was there waiting for me.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his voice a bit hesitant. Somewhat hoping that the hunters weren't after us again.
"Yes" I answered as he frowned.
Jin came up to us. He must of had a vision, "Family meeting. Round everyone up"
We both nodded and turned to comply to his order. Awhile later we were all gathered up in Jin's office.
"What is this about?" Jimin tiredly asked as Yoongi looked at him with a glare. Soon Jimin's head was whacked as he whined.
"Jungkook saw a hunters weapon being fired today" Jin spoke up as everyone's eyes widened expect for Taehyung and I.
"Hunters?" Namjoon repeated.
"I thought we got rid of them?" Hoseok asked.
Jin sighed and looked out the window, "I thought so too. I mean, we broke off the trail, hunted out of state, hid in the shadows. Why are they here?"
"Do you think they know?" Jimin asked then scoffed and looked at me, "Paige probably snitched. I knew we couldn't trust that bitch"
In a flash I was gripping Jimin by his throat and lifted him up in the air, "Don't talk about her that way. She wouldn't tell a soul, she promised"
"Jungkook and Jimin!" Jin roared as I dropped Jimin to the floor, "We can't be quick to make assumptions. We have to carry this matter out with more caution than we've ever used"
"We have to" I whimpered as my eyes watered again, "I could've lost Paige today. And I don't think I'll be able to come close to losing her again like that"
I fell back into my chair and slumped, before I looked away I noticed Namjoon and Jin eyeing each other with uncertainty and hurt.
They seemed to be thinking about something but I didn't have the heart to ask.
"Jungkook, she's apart of this family now. We would do anything to protect her" Jin spoke up as the others nodded, except Jimin.
"Please" I whimpered as the older two nodded.
—
I was now sitting on my roof as I admired the moonlight. Every beautiful thing reminded me of Paige.
After our family meeting, Jin and Namjoon chased all of us out and had their own secret meeting.
All I could think about was Paige. She was always on my mind. I looked up to the moon and saw it shining bright.
I heard someone walking around in my room from below me,
"Jungkook" Jin called. Of course it was him.
"Up here" I said not taking my gaze off the moon. I imagined that Paige was looking at it as well.
She loved the moonlight and sunsets and so many other things that have soul.
I heard sigh before he started climbing out of my bedroom window and cautiously made his way up the roof.
"I'm too old for this" he chuckled as he sat next to me.
I smiled at the elder, literally. Jin looked at me showing the same gesture.
We both looked up at the moon and stayed silent.
He was the first one to break the comfortable silence, "It's beautiful tonight"
'Not as beautiful as her though', I smiled at the thought.
"It reminds you of her, doesn't it?" He asked, probably noticing the goofy grin on my face.
"Yeah, it does" I answered, truthfully.
Jin was someone I could talk to and not be made fun of. Of course he was, he watched me grow up to be the man I am today.
"I have something for you" He said before digging in his jacket pocket.
I looked at him as he handed me a small black rectangular box. It reminded me of the gift that Paige gave me for my birthday.
"What is it?" I asked as I held it in my hands.
"It's for her. That was once my grandmothers, she wanted me to give it to my true love, but that didn't happen" he said as I opened it.
Inside laid a white opal necklace, I admired and felt it with my fingers. It looked like it had a few years to it.
"Jin, I cant" I said closing it back up and handing it back to him.
"No, no I insist" he said pushing it back to me.
"Jungkook. I saw the way you looked at her when you first introduced her to us. You talk about her like she put the stars in the sky" Jin said as I smiled.
"You both are made for each other" he added.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Because you guys don't look at each other with butterflies and happiness. You look at each other with reality but at the same time, there's a fairytale awaiting you"
