PAIGE;
A few days has passed since I started running again and everything was back to normal.Jungkook and I were back to being our normal selves, getting closer and more comfortable as time passed.
He told me he's the varsity's team captain, I was happy to hear that from him. He seemed really happy, I smiled and congratulated him.
He deserved it, he deserved every good thing in his life. They were also undefeated, 2-0 so far.
I got in my jeep and made my way to pick up my loser best friend. We didn't have practice today, coach decided to give us a day off.
The football boys also had morning practice today so the only people practicing today were volleyball and swim.

Xavier and I entered the classroom, to already see Jungkook sitting at his desk.
He looked up and smiled at me, I returned the gesture and walked past. The bell was going to ring and we had all day to talk.
I took out my binder and writing utensils, today was Tuesday and those were lecture days. And lecture days meant notes, notes and more notes.
All was turning out good until Dalia and Gavin walked in. I internally groaned and Jungkook just chuckled, noticing my mood change.
"I'm telling you, they probably worship the devil" They both chuckle at Dalias remark while walking past me.
I already knew who they were talking about. I gritted my teeth and closed my fists, then let out an exhausted sigh.
Couldn't they just shut up already? Why are they doing this to him when he didn't have power of the votes.
I also should've known Gavin was going to be petty about not being this years captain of the team.
They both sat down, I hoped they would stop. I cant control what would happen next if they continued.
"I bet the bangtan boys have their own cult" Gavin added pushing my last and final nerve.
I stood up from my desk, and my binder fell to the floor with a 'slam'. I got the attention from everyone in the classroom, even him.
I closed my fists as my nails were digging into my palm then turned towards both of them,
"Can you shut the fuck up already! You're starting to piss me off! Stop talking about him like he's not here!" I yelled at both of them.
They both looked at me, horrified as I stared down at them. No one has ever seen me snap, and at this point I didn't care.
"Ms. Ryder, go to the principals office, right now!" Our teacher told me with a disappointed tone.
I turned around and began packing my stuff, stuffing it into my backpack. I didn't care if they weren't organized at this point.
Class was barely starting and I was already being sent to the principals office.
Just great!
I threw on my bag and looked back at them, giving them both a death stare before walking out.
I huffed as I walked down the hall and to the principals office.
The front desk lady, Mrs. Reed, who was a family friend noticed me. "What can I do for you today Paige?"
"Um... my government teacher sent me here to see the principal" I said as she rose her eyebrows.
"Ok, take a seat. I'll notify him right now" she spoke quickly and turned to get him.
She was probably shocked that I got in trouble. I was always the goody two shoes in my family.
But I snapped, I couldn't hold myself back. They were making me mad as they laughed and talked about him.
I dropped my bag on the floor and sat down on a chair and waited. I put my head in my hands in frustration.
What will my mom think?
What about my dad?
"Ms. Ryder" The principle, Mr. Brown called me.
I stood up grabbing my bag off the floor and followed him. Never in my life did I think I would get in this much trouble that involved the principal.
He stopped by the door and allowed me to walk in first, he came in and closed it after.
I sat down setting my bag on the floor, gently this time. I couldn't let my frustration get the best of me.
He sat down and studied me. I kept my gaze on my hands as I fiddled with my thumbs.
"Care to tell me what happened?" Mr. Brown asked.
I looked up at him, in innocence. I wasn't the bad guy in this situation.
I sighed, "Gavin and Dalia were talking bad about the new kid. It made me mad so I lashed out at them... cursing at them. I couldn't let them get away with what they were saying. He's new and they don't know him well enough to judge him"
He nodded with his eyes closed,
"I understand" he spoke as relief hit me like a truck. "It's good to know that someone stood up to them. I'm sure the new kid appreciates it"
I nodded, I hoped he did too.
"I appreciate you for telling me the truth. I won't put this in your transcripts, you're not suspended or in trouble, but I'm going to inform your parents so that they know. I'll also excuse you for the rest of the day" he said as he stood up.
Still, I felt guilty even when he forgave me.
But why did he have to tell my parents? I didn't do anything wrong.
He opened the door for me as I stood up holding my bag.
"And Paige" he called out as I was walking to the front, I stopped and turned around.
"Stay humble, we always have to look out for the little people" he smiled as I did too and nodded.
He let me go after that. I walked to my car, throwing my bag in the back.
I sighed, I didn't expect my day to go like this at all.
I felt pain in my palms and looked at them. They had fingernail marks on them, they were bruised and peeling.
Great, I was also back to my old habits.
I started the car and drove home, Xavier's going to find another ride today.
I got home within minutes and saw that my dad was home, not my mom.
"Shit" I mumbled as I turned off the engine, I wasn't sure how he'd react.
I mean, who knows maybe my supposed death date would come earlier than expected.
