Ashton POV
I wake up and squint the sunlight out of my eyes as I check the time on my phone, 10:00. I sit up and feel my head is pounding and I feel awful. What even happened last night? I groan and go to sit up when I notice my boyfriend is laying on me. I sigh and lay back down and listen to Luke snoring on the other side of the couch. Gosh, how much did I drink? "Ash? Why do I feel so bad." I turn to look down at my boyfriend who's slowly opening his eyes. "You took five or six shorts of various drinks and I drank various things." I swallow audibly and try to will away the nausea I feel.
"Did we drink enough to get sick?" He asks. "If we did we wouldn't be on this couch right now," I grumble nudging him to get up. Both of us drag ourselves int the kitchen. I get us both two big glasses of water figuring we should at least be hydrated. "Was I drunk last night?" He asks curiously. "I don't think so... I was though, but I haven't been wasted in a while."
"When was the last time?" He asks. "When I tried to..." I don't finish my sentence as he nods knowingly his eyes looking sad. "But that was fun, I drank to be social have a good time not... depression drinking," I reply taking a long drink of water. "I like Chase." He murmurs resting his chin in his hand. "Me too he's pretty cool and his wine cellar?!"
"Amazing!" Cal cheers and smiles. I sigh and look at him a smile on my face. "Your eyes are pretty," I say. " Just plain old brown." He says sipping his water. "Brown eyes don't get enough credit, everyone freaks out over blue eyes but brown? Beautiful, especially when you're out in the sun they look like two pools of honey." He smiles his cheeks turning red. "Stop your embarrassing me!" He covers his face with his hands and giggles."I'm just telling my boyfriend that he has pretty eyes." I pout and slide my hand across the table to push his hands away from his face.
"No making out cause both of our breath smells gross," I warn.
"Agree." I look at his half-empty glass. "More water?"
"Yes please." I let go out his hand and refill the glass and return to the table. "Hungry?" He thinks it over.
"A little you?"
"I feel a little sick after all I drank last night."
"Even more reason to." He points out and takes a drink. I hear the snoring in the living room stop and quiet mumbling.
"Luke's awake."
"How do you know?"
"When he wakes up he talks in his sleep before becoming conscious," I replied getting up from the table and looking for some cereal. "You two are hung over." Luke leans against the kitchen counter and giggles.
"Stop it, gosh my head hurts," Calum whines laying on the table. "Is Mikey still asleep?" I ask and hear Michael's voice from the living room.
"No, I'm playing Pokemon go, cause Luke's house is literally a poke spot." He replies. "Actually?" Luke gets his phone off the counter and sits next to Michael on my couch while I pour myself a bowl of cereal and hope it will make me feel better. "You can have some of this if you want," I say sticking another spoon in it and turn it to face Calum. He lifts his head up and nods. "I should." He takes a spoonful his eyes half open. "How long will this last?" He groans. "I don't know but it will be over." I force myself to swallow my cereal cringing at how it's turned to mush already. "You look pale." He observes.
"Y-yeah." I stutter.
"Please don't puke right now I can't handle it." He says looking disgusted at the thought. "Me either I literally scared to." He raises an eyebrow as I lay on the table and try to even my breathing. "You want more water?" He asks sounding concerned. "I'm fine." Whisper and swallow again. Crap why did I have to drink so much last night? "Drink more water?" He suggests. "That will make it worse." I press my forehead into the table and shut my eyes. "Drinking water will make you feel better though. Luke suggests, "Or walk around a little sitting is probably making it worse." I bite my lip trying to figure out how bad I feel. "I might just sleep this off." I know he's looking at me with concern but I'm just trying to feel less like shit.
"Let's go up to your room," Cal suggests getting up from his chair. "I wanna stay here."
"Mike, are you hung over too?" Luke asks.
"I'm tired." He says. I hear him walk into the kitchen and turn my head to look at him. "You look as white as a sheet." He exclaims. "I'm hungover and nauseous leave me alone," I grumble and lay back on my face.
"How much did you-"
"A lot." I hear someone walk over to me and move my head in that direction where my boyfriend is crouching next to me. "Let's go upstairs ok? Maybe take a shower that will make you feel better." He coxes rubbing my hand. "I don't even know if I can walk straight."
"I'll help you up there." Michael offers. I sit up and open my eyes a little. Well, the room didn't spin. I press my hands against the table and push the chair back and stand up. "Ok?" Cal asks holding out his hand. "Y-yeah. I grab on to it and push myself away from the table. "Do you need me? Michael asks walking on the other side of me making sure I don't fall over. "I think I'm good," I say before tripping on one of the stairs. He slides his arm around me and half smiles. "So your still a little wasted." Michael laughs. I roll my eyes. "A bit, oh we can go in my room."
"You want me to let go?" Michael asks. I nod and drop down on the bed while my boyfriend turns on the lights. "You look a little better." He observes. "Thanks, I think I might nap." "Ok, I'll be downstairs with Luke," Michael says and leaves the room. I rub my hands across my face trying to sober myself up. "Do you feel better?" Cal asks sitting next to me. "A bit." He rests his head on my shoulder and looks around my room. "I like how your room turned out."
"Me too, it was a great birthday surprise," I nudge my shoulder to signal him to sit up, "I'm going to take a shower if you don't hear from me in eh twenty minutes, assume I passed out." Calum looks at me shocked with my bluntness." "Alright, I'll be here." I get my clothes and some clothes and go into the bathroom and cut on the water.
"You want your phone?" Cal yells behind the door. "Why?"
"For music or are you going to stand there with your thoughts?" I snort at the sarcasm in his voice and open the door and stick my hand out. "Are you naked yet?"
"No, I'm waiting for the water to warm up, why you want to shower together?" His cheeks turn pink with embaressment as he tries to find the words to say.
"I'm kidding I'm not forcing you." I say when he doesn't reply. "Sorry I was just taken aback by the question but m-maybe."
"Maybe?" I raise my eyebrows. "I mean not now but at some point?" He says. "Okay, I know you're not into anything sexual." He nods relaxing a little. "I'll be out in a minute." I close the door and go to my playlist and set my phone by my towel and strip. I overestimated how hot the water is and hold back a scream ( nothing sobers you up like hot af water) After my shower, I feel a lot better than before.
"Well you look better," Calum says looking up from his phone. "Do you need to be home?"
"No my mom knows I'm with you so she's fine with it" "You want to do something?" I ask"We can get food, that cereal was not a good idea." I pull on my hoodie.
"Hey I'm going to take Michael home wanna come with?" Luke asks poking his head in my room. "Sure we were going to get food after if that's cool." "Sounds good I'm starving." The four of us get in Luke's car and hear a phone chime. "Not me," Calum says looking at his dark screen I check mine right as Michael pulls his out. "Oh its Winter, from the party? She asked if I wanted to get coffee."
"Say yes," I reply as he looks at his screen hesitantly. "Hey, Luke?"
"Uh huh." He stops at the red light. "Can you drop me off at this coffee shop?" He asks. "Sure what's the address?" "Call us after okay?" I ask getting in the front seat. "I will wish me luck?" "You're going to be fine, this is a casual date," Luke assured him. He smiles nervously and looks down at these clothes. "You look fine," Calum says. "Alright see you guys." I shut the car door and fasten my seat belt as he walks inside.
