Ten years later

Calum.

"Come on baby, push, one more push." I encouraged my wife, watching how strong she was as she delivered our child.

I soon heard the cries before the doctor placed the baby on my wife's chest, the tiny and beautiful baby squirming and crying, taking me back,

"What's the name?" The nurse questioned

"Skylar Marie Hood" I spoke, touching the babies head softly

"Yeah that's your name" I whispered

"You're named after the best goddamn girl I've ever met."

After feeding and making sure my wife was okay, the nurses dressed Sky, handing her to me.

I turned to my wife, Emily, seeing her smile

"Go show the boys, I know their excited"

I almost ran out of the room, holding my sleeping angel.

"Guys" I whispered as I stepped out of the doorway

"Please meet Skylar Marie" I spoke, standing at an angle to where they could see her.

"Hi Skylar, it's nice to meet you" Ashton was the first to whispered, touching her little hand

My two angels have the same name

Mr. Johnson

"Cal, come here buddy" I spoke, watching my amazing four year old run to me, standing in front of her grave

"That's your big sissy" I whispered to him, admiring the gravestone and multiple flowers that myself along with the guys had made sure to keep there.

"Skylar" He spoke, remembering the stories

"Yes buddy, it's Skylar" I spoke quietly, feeling a tear fall.

I let Cal run off the his step mom, my wife- Meghan

"I'm sorry Sky" I whispered, touching the grass that she was under

"I know you're happy"

Ben.
one week after Skylar's death

"That's why I don't talk to people" I spoke to Dylan as we got back from the funeral, myself ripping my tie off

"Ben" Dylan spoke, looking to my scans in his hand

"What?" I spat out, not being able to take anymore bad news on this day

"You're- it's- it's gone" he spoke, staring to the films.

"What's gone?" I asked, my dad even standing, inching closer

"Your cancer- the cancer- it's- it's just gone" he spoke, making me take the film from him, making my eyes go to the area I've memorized

There was nothing

"This can't be my scan"

We did more scans, we did sonograms- we did blood work

Dylan laughed as he stared at all the results

"You're 100% cancer free, Ben"

Skylar, I don't know what you did, but thank you so damn much.
