Love Triangle: Kakashi vs. Genma

"What?! He gets to come back and dictate my life, again?" [Y/N] stood there, arms crossed, leaning on one foot and hip jutting out to the side. She was still in her ANBU uniform and the look of her face was enough to make Hell freeze over. In front of her sat her father and Iruka. 

Asuma and Kakashi stood to the side of the room, watching the entire argument. Asuma had his arms crossed as well, a similar look on his face and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Kakashi, who had already had this meeting with the Hokage, stood there with his hands in his pockets in his usual slouch, slightly amused at the entire situation (though definitely not showing it). His presence was requested now simply to serve as a buffer between [Y/N] and her father and her brother.

"[Y/N], please. I know that you like working in ANBU—" Her father started, only to be cut off again.

"No, I don't like ANBU, okay? I love my job. I am good at my job."

"I understand that, dear, really. But Asuma and a few others came in here and they make some good points. You have become increasingly bitter and distant since the whole thing with Itachi. I think this is for the best."

"The best for who? Me? Or Asuma and his giant-ass self-serving ego?"

"[Y/N], language." Her brother spoke up from the side of the room.

"Cram it, Asuma." She huffed back angrily.

"Enough. From both of you." Her father finally stood. "I have made my decision [Y/N]. Whether you like it or not, you and Kakashi will both be reassigned from ANBU. That is final."

[Y/N] let out a deep breath that she'd been holding before nodding her head once. "Fine. I'll be here first thing tomorrow morning for my first mission assignment." She turned to make her way out of the room and stopped in the doorway, looking over her shoulder. "And for everyone's sake, do not assign me anything with Asuma."

And with that she was gone. The Hokage sat back down next to Iruka and put his head into one of his hands, rubbing his temples. "Kakashi, you may be dismissed as well. Thank you." Kakashi bowed and left as well, leaving Asuma and his father to talk with Iruka and set up a mission schedule for her.
