"So, my sister huh?" Asuma said, sitting down next to Kakashi. The latter hadn't really been around much the last month, keeping distance from both Asuma and his sister (and her new boyfriend). He had been picking through his Icha Icha books one by one, though he'd read them a thousand times over now. He desperately needed a way to keep his head clear and to be honest, this really wasn't working, but what else could he do?

The Hokage hadn't started assigning the jonin their students yet and wouldn't for a while longer. He'd also neglected to send Kakashi out of the village, telling him to take his time and settle into his new job, so a nice, long mission was also off the table. Instead, Kakashi had spent all day in the park, reading and napping. He'd enjoyed the peace and quiet, sure, but he had to admit it was kind of... boring. Though, Asuma sitting down next to him wasn't exactly the kind of entertainment he'd hoped for.

"What about her?" Kakashi asked, maintaining his nonchalant attitude. He didn't dare look up from his book.

Asuma rolled his eyes. "Look, there's no sense in playing that game with me. Now put down that damn book and tell me, how long have you wanted my sister?"

Kakashi pressed his lips into a thin line and closed his book. Oh, how he did not want to have this conversation. But Asuma, was as stubborn as [Y/N] and he knew that Asuma wouldn't leave it be until Kakashi told him whatever he wanted to know.

"Hm. Define want."

"Do you want to sleep with her too?"

"I'm not sure how to answer that."

"Kakashi." Asuma growled.

"Fine." The silver-haired man sighed, still refusing to make eye contact. "I'm attracted to her, yes. I'd have liked to take her out sometime and get to know her more. She's pleasant to be around and she's certainly easy on the eyes. I wouldn't be opposed to a physical relationship someday, if we had some sort of relationship that would lead there. Does that answer your question?"

"Hm. Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why her? Why is everyone suddenly after her?"

Kakashi couldn't help the chuckle that left his mouth. "It's not so sudden to anyone who has been here the last few years. [Y/N] has certainly grown into a gorgeous woman and it's definitely catching the eyes of some."

"Right. But damn, Genma, and you, and who else? I mean, hell."

"I don't make it my business to know who else."

Asuma glanced up at Kakashi, who had now reopened his book and seemed to be reading through it again. He studied Kakashi for a minute, as if knowing that he fancied his sister made him see him in a different light. But no, this was the same man he'd grown up with, surely. It was inevitable that [Y/N] want to date, right? And it had to be somebody. Kakashi wouldn't be a bad choice.

Asuma pondered the idea of his sister actually dating Kakashi. He had known Kakashi since their days at the academy. He wasn't a bad guy and honestly, he'd been through hell and back. He'd still turned out alright. Asuma liked him. He'd consider him one of his closest friends. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if his sister wanted to date him. He liked the idea of that better than he liked the idea of her and Genma together.

But then, Genma wasn't all bad either. Sure, he had a little bit of a reputation, but Genma was in the academy with him too and as far as he knew, Genma was respectable. He'd been raised right. He was a good shinobi (and the Hokage thought so too, assigning him to be a part of his personal guard). Perhaps it was just the fact that he knew Genma had already seen his sister naked.

Kakashi cleared his throat, bringing Asuma back to reality. "Are you going to keep staring at me like that? Because I'm afraid [Y/N] is the only Sarutobi I'm attracted to."

Asuma rolled his eyes at Kakashi's dry humor. "Don't flatter yourself. I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of this."

"Well, you said it yourself. [Y/N] has just really grown up."

"Much too fast for my liking, I'm afraid. I'm just glad she—"

"Asuma!"

The two men looked up at the new voice and Asuma leaned in toward Kakashi and whispered. "Speak of the devil."

[Y/N] approached them from across the park. Her hair was down and the way the sun shown on her face made Kakashi's heart start pumping harder. He wondered if Asuma could hear it, but he couldn't help it. This girl just got to him every time she was around. She finally made it over to them and plopped down between them on the bench.

"What're you two doing?" She asked, sitting back and stretching. Kakashi tried not to look at her body as she did so and Asuma watched Kakashi like a hawk as if to make sure he didn't.

"Just chatting. What're you doing today, sis?"

"Looking for you two, actually. We have a mission, finally."

"The three of us?"

"Well, four..." She said, rubbing the back of her head. "It's some high class mission outside of the village, so four of us were requested. I took the liberty of volunteering because I'm bored as hell. But dad was thrilled when I asked to assign you too. He likes that we're getting along again. Then he added in Kakashi here because we work so well together." She turned and winked at Kakashi, nearly throwing his heart out of rhythm.

"Oh? What's the catch?"

"...I asked him to assign Genma too."

"[Y/N]..."

"Look, we've been dating over month now and you haven't said hardly more than two words to him! Please? It can be my birthday present!"
