"Who'd have thought Genma was the romantic type?" Asuma asked, looking at the ring on his sister's finger. He'd just gotten back from his mission that started a week earlier and [Y/N] was on duty at the gate again. Kotetsu and Izumo started laughing, earning them a glare from [Y/N], though they continued laughing, unfazed.

"He can be romantic. He's actually really great, Asuma. You would know that if you'd speak to him more."

"Oh, she's got you there." Kotetsu said, coming up to look at the ring too. "Genma's a good guy."

Izumo came up on the other side of [Y/N], also leaning over to see the ring. "Yeah, man, he is. Look at that ring!"

Asuma grumbled to himself and rolled his eyes. "I did used to speak to him. But forgive me for not liking the part about him banging my sister for a few months before even taking her on a proper date. It makes it hard to refrain from punching him."

"You know," [Y/N] started, "It takes two to tango, if you know what I mean. So if you're going to be mad at him, then you should still be mad at me too."

"Well if you wanna reopen that argument..."

"Nevermind."

"That's what I thought. Anyway, when are you off?"

"Here soon. Someone else has the night shift so they'll be by to relieve me in an hour or so."

"Well listen. I'm going to report in and then head into town for dinner. Why don't you grab Genma and come with me? I'll try playing nice. It seems like he's not going anywhere any time soon, huh?"
