Love Triangle: Kakashi vs. Genma

"I really tried Asuma! I just got so worked up and I backed out. I just can't do it. What if I lose him as a friend over it?"

[Y/N] walked with Asuma to meet with his team the next morning. She had complained to her brother about last night, how she almost slipped up but couldn't go through with it. He teasingly scolded her, saying that she was just a chicken. But now looking at her, he could tell she was genuinely distressed and stuck between what she referred to as "a rock and a hard place."

"Look, I don't think that you would lose him. You might find that he feels the same way, you know?"

Over the last year, Asuma had grown increasingly frustrated at this situation. He found out that Kakashi had feelings for his sister and she already had those same feelings, yet both of them had sworn him to secrecy. He tried his damnedest to get one of them to spill, knowing it would be better for both of them. Yet, hard as he tried, they were both so. Damn. Stubborn.

"I don't know. Look, let's drop it for now. Here's your team."

Asuma and [Y/N] stopped talking as they approached the three students. Choji sat on the ground, eating from a bag of chips. Shikamaru laid next to him on the ground, eyes closed but not quite asleep. Ino stood behind them, arms crossed as she was huffing at the two and yelling at them. [Y/N] glanced up at her brother, who had stopped walking and sighed at the sight before him. He cleared his throat, silencing Ino's yelling and Choji's munching. Shikamaru simply opened one eye, before closing it back and groaning.

"Uh, huh. Well. Let's get this day started I guess..." Asuma said, half wondering if he would actually pass his team this year. He usually had no problem passing them, but this is already looking rough. "This is my sister, [Y/N]. She's here to help me show you the different chakra natures, which I'm sure you all learned about. While I'm skilled with wind and fire, she can use wind, water, and is currently learning lightning. Now, let's see what you all are..."
