Chapter 19: Something... Fishy

Melissa's POV:

I decided that after school, I'd visit Leah! she is a good friend of mine right? Yeah. I went to her hang out and over heard her on the phone "Yes, I am close to her now ok?" she says "Hi Leah" I say. she jumped in shock "h-how long where you here?" she asked "Just now?" lied

"Oh ok, what's the visit for?" she asked "Nothing, I just felt like visiting you" I told her "well, sad to say you need to go. Someone uh.. important was on the phone a few moments ago so bye!" she said a bit fast while she pushed me out. I wonder what was that for?

As I walked through school thinking about it, Chloe caught up to me "Hellloooooo!!!" she says "Hey" I told her flashing a smile from the gloom "How are you and Felix?" I asked her "We're ok, you and Mitch?" She asked "Great as ever!" I told her "I heard about how he shouted that he was taken and happy, smart ass classic!" she says

We talked for a while and we went home. Leah's phone call thing came to my mine again, what did she mean by 'Getting Close To Her' and who's 'Her'? oh well, probably personal business

🎈The Next Day🎈

As I go to school, Mitch caught up to me "Hi Baby!" he says and then kisses my cheek "Morning Mitch!" I tell him "I'll come with you" he says "Ok"

On the way to school, I looked at him. He was looking straight at the Jock Group, where he belonged "Baby, I'll just go with the team. I love you!" he says "Um... ok, I love you too" I told him faking a smile. That was weird! he never has done that before, maybe something important? I dunno

🍤Skip To Lunch🍤

I came to our table and saw the team "Hey guys!" I say "Mel!!" Chloe says "How are yah?" Brice asks "I'm ok, just bugged by something" I say. I sat beside Chloe. Mitch hasn't said a word to me... weird. Brice notices, signals Chloe when Mitch wasn't looking. She then looks at me

"What's up with you and Mitch?" she whispers "I don't know, he just bailed on me for his jock team this morning. I'm just confused why he hasn't spoken to me yet" I whispered back. "So Mitch! what's up with the team?" Chloe asks pretending to care about te team

"Oh we just got better and better! it's awesome" he says smiling widely like when he asked me out. My heart sank... Why would he do this?

All of this has been driving me NUTS! What is going on? I'll ask the team later. I'm fine with Leah getting off with me but Mitch? I'm getting sad and afraid
