11. 10 million surprise vlog

"Surprise!" Natalie jumped in front of the door ready to hug her best friend.

She had tried her best to make this day special.

She was setting everything up alone when she realized that Jason or Trisha still hadn't answered her missed phone calls. They should be back in a few minutes.
It was so easy for her to stress out. He had reached ten freaking millions and nobody seemed to care. She tried calling Jason once again. Nothing.

She sat on the big white couch and looked at the ceiling. She was so proud of David for being successful doing what he loves. She could never imagine herself being that successful on something she loved.

"Well.." she said out loud and gave it a second thought. Taking care of David was always something she liked. And she for sure was successful doing that. She smiled.

Her smile faded away easily as she checked her phone again. She decided to call Joe. If only he was there on time, the surprise would maybe be a little bit better.
All she did was buy some balloons and a cake though. Nothing extra. That's what they would do back home when they were surprising their friends.

When she was ordering the cake, she didn't know what to write. She saw at a few pictures at the place she ended up buying the cake from. "Congratulations baby" it was too much. Everyone would freak out. But Congratulations seemed like a good idea. "Congrats on 10 mill Dave", or maybe just "Congrats David" no that was the one. She ended up just writing "10 million".

The balloons, were something she had on her mind since her surprise.

She remembered the night after her surprise when she laid with David on his bed. They were both looking at the ceiling when David expressed his love for her balloons. "No one ever surprised me with balloons like this before" he smiled still not wanting to look at Natalie who had now rested her eyes on him. "I'd never think that I would miss our birthday parties back home this much".

Joe entered the room, a few minutes after and that's when she heard the car outside. David was here. And Jason didn't even bother letting her know a few minutes before. Now all she could do was scream surprise. And that's what she did. And she saw her best friend actually be surprised. Natalie hugged David and congratulated him.

That's when she turned to greet Trisha and Jason, and she then realized that he wasn't holding a camera because he was as surprised as David was. "What happened? Didn't you get all my texts and missed calls?" Natalie whispered not wanting to make a big deal out of it. After all, it was David's day.

Jason cried from laughter "I literally forgot" and everyone turned to look at him and laughed at him.

They were all laughing about it except for Natalie, she smiled but deep down she was pissed at how the surprise turned.

David did so much for everyone and no one could give one hour from his time to come home and surprise him. The king of surprises.

David looked at Natalie and instantly felt that she was disappointed in herself and in his friends. Yes she just bought cake and balloons but this was all David needed. She didn't have the pressure of "footage" so she just followed her heart. All she wanted was to make David happy.

David walked towards Natalie and caressed her back. "Thank you" he leaned in and whispered in her ear as his hand was resting on her shoulder. Natalie touched his hand and it looked like she was going to remove it from her shoulder but all she wanted to do was hold his hand. No cameras, just them with a couple of good friends. They didn't have to overthink everything they did.

Sooner or later Jason pulled up his camera. Her hand slowly leaving his. David turned to look at Natalie. He knew the reason and he wasn't mad. "I'm sorry" Natalie mouthed apologizing for the lame surprise. "It's all I need" David smiled vining her a quick kiss on the forehead before Jason started filming.
