David and Natalie were driving to their new home. They had just emptied their old house from their stuff and they were sentimental. David had tears in his eyes and turned to look at Natalie. He wanted to make sure she was fine with that.

"Nat" his soft voice woke her up. She honestly managed to fall asleep in the Tesla while David was driving. "Sorry" he whispered when he realized that she had been sleeping.

"It's okay" she yawned knowing that it was weird to fall asleep that quick. She hadn't been able to sleep well these past few months. At least once a week she would wake up in the middle of the night to go lay next to David. Most of the times he was awake, so he would let her sleep next to him while he was on his phone. But sometimes even when he was sleeping, she would crawl next to him and cuddle him.

Sleeping next to David wasn't weird for her. Her feelings had nothing to do with how safe she felt in his arms. She even felt safer when she knew that there were strangers outside their house. That's why she fell asleep on the car.

Driving around town, next to David was relaxing. She finally felt like the nightmares were gone. She would wake up in the middle of the night crying, seeing that someone was hurting her or David.

That's the kind of things that David saw and was convinced that he had to move. He knew that Natalie would never ask him to move. Even after those years, she still felt like this house belonged more to him than it belonged to her. But David would never live in that house without her.

In fear that she would leave him, he decided to suggest them moving out. And that's what they did. They started watching houses. They would always go together, sometimes they took Carly or Jason with them, but most of the times it was just them.

Because it would be their house. David had explained to Natalie that this would be their house. "I don't want you saying to nobody David's house okay?" he copied Natalie's voice. "I know you've said to family that it was my house in the past" he only said it to make her feel more comfortable. "It's ours"

"But-" she wanted to remind him that she couldn't pay for the house.

"No buts Nat! If it's us picking the house that you and I are going to be living in, then it's our house" he stopped her.

"But I don't have the money to pay it so it's still your house. You're the boss" she simply said trying to make him understand that she was cool with that.

"Gosh what do you want me to fire you? The house is basically part of your payment" he had said to her.

"But wouldn't it be better if I lived in an apartment close by?" she suggested trying to sound reasonable. God she would hate living on her own. She was having so much fun with David that her stomach hurt even saying that she would rent an apartment.

David was furious. "Do you want to live alone? Do you want to leave me?" he frowned his eyebrows. They both knew that he couldn't live without her and she knew that she couldn't live without him either.

And that's how they chose the house. It was a beautiful house on top of a hill. In a nice neighborhood, with a big gate in the entrance. They made sure that no one could come in. There was plenty of space for all of their cars, and a beautiful view. David was most excited for one thing though, there was a pool. It was kind of small, but it had the most incredible view especially at nights.

The only thing that could cause a problem is that it had only two bedrooms. That meant that it was only him and Natalie. No one could stay over unless they slept on the couches or with Dave and Nat. They weren't necessarily upset with that. They liked being alone, and everything else was perfect so there was no way they would turn that down because there were no extra beds.

David parked outside the house. He tapped Natalie's arm since it looked like she had fallen asleep once again. "This is it" they stood in front of the massive wooden door.

Natalie had a tear in her eye. David was pointing the camera on her but she knew him well enough, she knew that he wasn't paying attention to what he was recording. He just wanted this special moment to be recorded.

The camera was still pointing at her when David's other hand reached to touch hers. That's what real moment felt like. The camera still on Natalie, she opened the door with her free hand. "You go first" David suggested.

"No let's go in together" she wanted them to officially go in their house together.

"Natalie we cant fit through the door, not the both of us. You go first" he lied and let her go in first.

As soon as she walked in still holding David's arm, she started crying.

David raised their holding hands and captured her holding him in their new house. "Feels like a whole new chapter" he said looking into Natalie's eyes. He could picture them getting married in that house.

"Feels like home" Natalie nodded smiling, and she imagined the same thing as him. Them with children in that house.

David pulled her closer and placed the camera on the ground. They were standing in the middle on their new back yard when all of a sudden, David kneeled down. "Damn" he breathed hard while Natalie's heart was beating fast.

"Dave" she managed to get out of her system but David was smiling too hard.

He coughed while he put his hand on his pocket. With one knee on the ground, his one hand holding her hands and the other on his pocket, Natalie squeezed his hand. "Dave get up" she awkwardly looked around to make sure no one was watching. But at the same time it felt like a dream and she wanted everyone to know.

"I'm not gonna propose" he breathed out and laughed. "You can relax" and even though she knew they weren't getting married, she still felt relieved and maybe a little disappointed.

"Nat" he looked down and then back up at Natalie. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked pulling out a beautiful ring. It had diamonds all over and Natalie cried when she heard the question.

Not giving a second thought she fell on the ground to hug him. Her first reaction was to kiss his face. She couldn't stop kissing his cheeks and head. "I love you" she looked up the sky still not touching his ring, that looked really expensive. "But I'm not accepting that. I can't" she kissed him and put the ring back in his pocket.

"But look at it" he took it back out, and showed it to her.

"Ugh Dave it's the most beautiful thing!" she frowned her eyebrows. "I can't wear that"

"Okay" he looked disappointed like a little child. "Because I made them write once in a lifetime in the inside" he made her look at the ring. "And I also bought this one for me "you meet someone who changes everything" she read out loud.

"Aww Dave!" she wiped her tears and wore the ring. "I love you" she kissed his lips softly and David smiled.

"I love you too" he wore his ring and grabbed the camera. "Alright guys, let me introduce you to Natalie. She's my girlfriend..." he talked to the camera and Natalie couldn't take her eyes off of him.
