34. Date night (part 2 to marriage vlog)

Once David and Natalie got home, for a couple of minutes nobody talked. Natalie was afraid that they would be awkward on the date. She didn't want to talk about it with David though. But it was weird since every concern she had, David was the one she talked to.

As the hours past by, they both totally forgot about it and they were back to normal. It was time for her to get ready so she closed the door of her room and started picking out clothes. No matter how she felt this still was a first date.

Every time she went out on first dates with guys, she was anxious on what to wear, she always called someone to help her out. But this time, it was so easy. The guy she would go on the date with, was on the room next door. She only had to get up and ask him what to wear.

She quickly threw all of the dresses on her bed and run to David's room. She knocked on the door and he immediately shouted for her to come in. She stepped in the room only to see David all dressed up already. He was wearing blue jeans and a black button-up. "Woww" she said excited and sat on the bed. He was standing in front of her obviously happy that she was impressed.

He started posing for her and making her laugh. "You look good too" he smiled while she was in a white hoodie.
"I don't know what to wear" she complained and he laughed at the fact that he was ready before her.
"I'll help you out" he started walking to her room. He looked at the dresses on her bed and laughed. "Everything is pretty, pick one" he simply said and sat on the empty space next to them and started picking one by one looking at them. "This one is really pretty" he admitted showing her a white dress with little red roses. She shook her head meaning she didn't like it. "Oooh I know which one" he said and got up and walked to her closet. He looked for something for a little and when he couldn't find it by himself he asked for her help. "Where's the black one with that's off the shoulder?"

Natalie smiled wide and got excited. How did he remember she had that dress? She loved it and wore it maybe once. She found it and went to the bathroom to put it on. While she was doing that, David was sitting patiently on her bed.

When he saw her, he couldn't speak. A simple "wow" came out of his mouth and quickly stood up. He faked a cough and fixed his shirt. "Let's go" he said nervously trying to hide the fact that he was really excited for that date.

Natalie smiled and once he turned his head around she checked herself smiling even more. David was definitely boyfriend material and the fact that they were going out made her feel butterflies in her stomach. "Let's go" she quietly repeated what David had said and followed him.

They locked the house and they stared at the three cars. "Which one?" Natalie asks.
David starts walking to the Ferrari. "We said we were going on a date!" he commented and they started driving.

On their way to the place that David had planned on going, Natalie forgot to even ask him where they were going. All that mattered was that they were alone. "Are we at least eating?" she asked when he wouldn't say anything about the place. And when he said yes, she was comfortable again. "Great"

They talked and laughed and sang along to songs they didn't know the lyrics to. No one thoughts that it was weird and Jason proved was right all along. David parked outside of a beautiful restaurant. Once Natalie read "Mediterranean cuisine" she got excited. She clapped and David hoped they would find a table for two since he didn't have time to ask for one.

He called earlier, but they didn't promise one. The two friends walked into the restaurant with David letting her walk in front of him and once they found a table, David dragged her chair to sit. "Such a gentleman" he said about himself when Natalie didn't say anything.

They both laughed. And the truth is that Natalie had noticed. But she didn't want to mention anything as she wouldn't be that girl that notices little stuff like that.

They ordered kebab, and hummus and Greek salad and all kinds of things that they both loved. While they were eating, Natalie noticed that David was trying to eat slowly, and trying to keep a conversation. "You don't have to fake anything Dave" she commented.
"Huh?" He said once he tapped his mouth with the napkin.
"Be yourself" she laughed. "I know you're trying too hard"
"You're right" he smiled. "I just want to make a good impression" he joked. "After all, it is our first date"
They both laughed and Natalie agreed. "So tell me about your life David" she said with a straight face resting her head on one hand, while the other reached to hold David's.

David laughed hard because she was funny and also because he was blushing.

They finished eating and the restaurant asked if the wanted dessert. "No we'll have dessert back home" she winked at David and bit her lip. David blushed once again and fixed his shirt. Suddenly it felt like there was no oxygen for him to breath.

They drove back home almost silent. Natalie was excited for them to go back home knowing what she had planned while David was nervous. But excited.

He parks the car and they stand on the door. "Thanks for the date David" Natalie confesses. He opens the door and walks around waiting for her to make the first move. "Are you ready for the dessert we talked about?" she bites her lips once again and bends to grab something under the counter.

David is now hard, he doesn't know how to handle it. When she pulls out whipped cream, his face is red. He couldn't understand how she was so comfortable with all of this. He really wanted to do it, but it wasn't that easy for him.

Natalie smiled and pulls out flour. Her smile is now wider while David is now more confused than turned on. "Grab the chocolate and the sugar please" she points at the ingredients that were on the counter next to him. "That's all we need for the brownies" while she's still pulling out ingredients.

He bursts into laughter when he realized what she had done. He was so turned on before but now he knew he loved her. She was so funny. He got closer and kissed her cheek. "I was so stressed"

Natalie laughs and starts telling him what to do. They're half way through the recipe when David drops flour on the counter. She tried to clean it up but she only got messy. They were now dirty, and having fun getting messy while the brownies were on the oven. "I gotta go get changed" Natalie says looking at herself and knowing that her dress was now white from all the flour that David rubbed all over her.

She goes into her room and comes out wearing only his hoodie. He takes off his shirt and sits down waiting for the brownies to be done. "Did you have fun?" he asks her sitting opposite of her. She shakes her head. "Me too" they both smile.

"It's weird. I never thought I would enjoy a date with you" she says making David raise his brow.
"Ouch" he joked and Natalie apologizes.
"You know what I mean" she smiles. "I always have fun hanging out with you, I just never thought that it was a date. I'm sure you understand"
"I don't. To be honest I never cared if it was a date in the past. As long as we're together I'm having fun" he seriously answered and Natalie blushed.
"That's sweet" she commented and made him smile too.

She pulls out the brownies and brings the whole tray between them. They both sit on the stools and start eating what they had made. Natalie had still flour on her cheek and David decided to clean it off. Once his hand touched her cheek, she tilts her head trapping his hand in between her face and her shoulder. She wanted him to hold her forever. But she was scared what that meant.

"I don't know" she says and knows that what she said made no sense. But in a weird way, David knew exactly what she was thinking.
"We don't have to decide for anything" he tried to calm her down. "I'll wait" he promised and tears formed in Natalie's eyes. "Hey" he took his hand only to cup her face with both of his hands. "No press-" he was interrupted by her lips.

She kissed him. Not knowing why, but she liked it. And if they ended up regretting the kiss, she knew that she at least knew how it felt. She wanted to make sure that she had feelings for him. And by that kiss she knew that she was in love with this stupid boy.

He stood still for a couple of seconds until he caved in and kissed her passionately. He wanted this kiss since he was ten. He wanted to kiss Natalie Mariduena. And even if he fell in love with other people along the way, he always knew that she was his soulmate.

They made out for a while not knowing what that kiss would bring. They didn't know if they would end up on the same bed or not, but at least they knew that they would end up in love.
