61. "I'm gonna show this to your kids one day" (it never happened part 3)

"But Nat we're not best friends" he couldn't believe he was about to say it. "Friends don't sleep with each other. And friend don't shower together and then do face masks. Friends with benefits do, but even them, they sleep in different houses Nat. We don't. We wake up, make love and then fall asleep in each other's arms. We're more that friends with benefits and way more than best friends. Best friends don't feel the way I do" he kept on going and going not being able to predict Natalie's response.

He stopped talking and looked at the floor waiting for Natalie to announce that she's moving out. He was so scared. He looked at his fingers and waited for her to say something, anything.

When he looked up to see her, she surprised him with a kiss. She grabbed his head and kissed his lips. It was the first time they kissed not being naked and on the bed. This was more intimate, more romantic.

When she pulled back, he laughed. He kissed her again and held her in his arms.

"We're not friends" she said while hugging him.

"So what are we?" He asked.

"I don't know the bestest of friends?!" they laughed and cuddled on the couch.

"Gotta call Ilya and tell him he could come back, poor guy left the house just for us" David laughed trying to reach his phone.

"So let's take advantage of it" she climbed back on him once again.

"Okay but then we gotta stop that because he lives here too" he said and undressed her.

When Ilya came back, David was having a shower while Natalie was snacking in the kitchen. "Hey" she greeted him and he smiled weirdly. "Oh my god, stop that. I know that you know"

Ilya jumped and hugged Natalie. "So you're like, dating?"

"No!" Natalie said and waved her hands.

"Just sex?" Ilya asked kind of impressed that David was down for something like that.

"No. I don't know, it's too soon" she smiled and walked to David bedroom.

"Can I have your bedroom now?" Ilya joked and followed her.

"Ilya we're not dating!" she said and they walked in David's room. "Hey" she leaned in to kiss David's lips and then lay right next to him.

"Okay if that's not dating I don't know what is!" he sat on the beanbag and took a picture of them. "I'm gonna show this to your kids one day. Tell them that you weren't dating"

David and Natalie both laughed but both gave it a thought. They were still imaging their child when Ilya talked.

"I think that means that I should really move out guys" he said not looking sad at all. But David asked why instantly. "Well, with you two being a thing, it's gonna be kind of awkward"

"No it won't! We won't do anything. It'll be just like it was until now, don't even think about it" Natalie quickly ran over next to him and gave him a hug. "We need you" she smiled.

"We really do" David nodded and admired two of his favorite people on earth.
