David and Natalie had a really productive day next day. They would run some errands and film a little bit. They (mostly David) had to record the podcast with Jason and Joe and also later that night, David's show would premiere on TV.

They were stressed and also excited as hell for their day, but mostly about the show.

So the night before they laid on David's bed looking at the ceiling thinking of their lives years ago. Natalie remembered a specific evening in David's house when she started singing and David alongside another friend judged her singing skills. She remembered how the three friends laughed at the mistakes she made and how she ended up spending the night at David's. They were young but David still felt the need to let Natalie have his bed, and he slept on the floor right next to his bed.

Natalie had told him that they should ask his mom for something to sleep on. But David, a teenage boy with a crush on his beautiful best friend, couldn't tell his mom that. He was shy.

Now, laying next to each other, sharing a house, a life, and a future, David and Natalie laughed at themselves. "I can't believe you're going to be on tv" Natalie admires her best friend.

The moment she turned her head to look at David, she witnessed his tears eyes and her eyes immediately watered. "Stop" he simply said smiling at the ceiling not knowing that his best friend was tearing up as well.

"Yeah, I know" she breathed and tried to calm down. Once her heart started beating normally again, her first day at the job came to her head.

How she had fought with her boyfriend about moving in LA, and especially with David. And how Natalie managed to calm him down by reminding him that David had a girlfriend. And the second she moved in with David, he broke up with Liza. She remembered how he cried for days in his room and the way she felt when she knew that everything was falling apart when everything was supposed to be better.

Quickly she remembered the first job she ever had to do for David, and the first video he ever uploaded on YouTube. "Look at you now" she managed to say before she burst into crying. She couldn't breathe. She didn't know exactly the reason she was crying.

Pride. Nostalgia. Love. Hatred. Break ups. Dates. Friends. Success.

"I'm so proud" she cried more and David sat down and pulled her closer.

"Of who?" he smiled holding her close in his arms. He knew that she had don many great things next to him too.

"Of you" she grabbed his shirt holding him tight. "Of us" she wiped her nose but tears were still running down her cheeks.

"I'm proud of us too" he patted her back waiting for her to relax while her whole body was shivering inside his arms. He felt all kinds of emotions holding his best friend and favorite person on earth. "Calm down" he caressed her hair and held her tightly but he felt her body trying to move away from him.

He let go feeling awkward that maybe they were overreacting but he let loose only to realize that she wanted to hug him tightly. She wrapped her hands around him this time and let her tears wet his sweater. David held her in arms length and looked into her eyes smiling. He reached for her cheek and wiped her tears. She smiled, and they laid on the bed again. He hugged her and she buried her head between his arms and chest. And she fell asleep in his arms. Knowing what she was doing, and knowing how good she felt, hoping that David felt the same way too.

The sun had risen and the busy day that they feared and waited for, the previous night, came. They woke up in each other's arms, behaving normal realizing that this was couples but also best friends behavior. They casually spent the whole day working.

Jason came into the room where David, Natalie and Taylor were hanging out, and they waited for Joe to record the podcast.

The three guys sat on the floor and started talking with their microphones when a stunning Natalie walked out of David's bathroom and approached them. When Jason saw that David was speechless and couldn't take his eyes off of her, he had to step up and talk. Even though the audience couldn't see what they were looking at, Jason felt the need to describe how beautiful she was, while David felt uncomfortable right away and introduced her as his assistant once again. When there was no need to.

She quietly walked towards them feeling relieved that nobody cared that she just took a shower in David's bathroom. Hoping that nobody would notice cause not even her knew why and when did the dynamic changed between her and her best friend.

She sat next to David and heard them recording, while talking to them from time to time when she needed to comment. The conversation went on and on when Jason talked about how similar David and Natalie are and how they both want to look emotionless.

"Natalie and I actually cried together last night" David truthfully commented without realizing that everyone heard that and not only Jas. While his friend was unconvinced, David took the chance to talk about it and then lie. "Yeah she came into my arms and I held her" he continued explaining their last night, while Natalie was confirming the story.

"I'm not really sure how to continue and comment on this one" she said uncomfortably not knowing if David wanted her to share their moment.

"Cause it's between us. And we're emotional and we keep some secrets to ourselves" David screamed half smiling at Jason believing that his friend doesn't believe him. They laughed it off and role played helping Jason and the fans believe that it wasn't true and that they were just playing.

With the encouragement and support of David, Natalie acted as if she was crying. "Consult me again, wrap me in your arms again" she said dramatically fake wiping tears and David couldn't take his eyes off her. While David pulled her closer and hugged her.

Jason watched them changing roles and knew that they wanted him to think that they were lying. But he wasn't fully convinced and he could tell that at least in some extent they weren't lying. "Did she really cry in your arms last night?" he asked David who let go of Natalie's hand and smiled.

"Fuck no" he laughed while Natalie agreed pulling away from him and sitting back where she was. Next to David but not in his arms.
