26. Lie detector test BTS vlog

Jason was laying on his bed trying to come up with video ideas. He wanted some content and he wanted to give content to David too.
When he received a message from David, he opened it and it was a video. It was David recording Natalie, it was random as she was just cleaning the kitchen counter when she starts singing a out of the blue and it's funny. David laughs like always and for some reason he thought Jason should see this.

Jason smiled with the video but then thought of how David was just recording Natalie doing nothing. "My poor boy is so in love and she's friend zoning him so hard" Jason thought to himself.

And that's when it hit him. He could invite John the lie detector test guy and they could also ask some tea questions. Jason called John and when he learned that he was available, they agreed to meet at David's.
"I just got us the next vlog" Jason responded to David's video.
"What do you have in mind?" David simply asked.
"Lie detector test"

David was skeptical at first, I mean. Lie detector test? Again? But then he remembered that there were some people that never got tested. Like Jeff and Natalie and Carly and Erin. He smiled at the thought of him asking questions to Natalie.

They were all notified about the day and the time that John would be there and David hoped for Jeff and Natalie actually getting questioned. It was for the content, but mainly because he liked having the chance to actually ask her some stuff without it being awkward and her trying to be honest and not sarcastic.
Corinna was okay with starting it, she was super cool about answering everything that her friends asked her.
Right next, David looked at Natalie. "Do you wanna?" he didn't even complete his sentence.
"I don't know" she said and smiled.
"It's okay. Whatever question you don't like you'll just look at me and I'll know" he tried to make her feel more comfortable.
She agreed "promise?" she said in her sassy tone and got hooked up.

They started asking her simple questions, about her life, soon everybody around realized that they didn't know anything about Natalie's life before the vlogs. But David knew every little detail. Neither David nor Natalie realized that they knew each other better than they knew themselves.
"My turn" David says extremely stressed right after John is confirming Natalie's last response. "Do you- Do you like working for me?" it was a simple question that got David feeling anxious.

He wanted to know if she's having fun, if she would ever leave him, because he wasn't planning on letting her go.
Natalie smiled softly. It was easy for her to answer. Sure living with David was difficult and working for him was even worse sometimes. But the past year and more, was everything she could ever ask for.
"Yes" she honestly answered. Seeing David's relief in his eyes made her both happy and sad. She was more than happy seeing him how happy he got knowing that she's happy. But also, did he ever think that she didn't like her job.

More questions followed about David and her job, when David decide to ask one more of his questions. "Did you have fun with me at the high school dance?"

This question seemed weird for anyone else in the room, there were people that didn't know what they were talking about, but even the people that knew about the dance thought that neither David or Natalie wanted to go together.

Natalie smiled. She didn't know what to answer. As a little girl she did have fun, with every classmate around her and being lucky enough to go there with David. But she remembered how awkward it was for her to ask David to prom knowing that he wouldn't agree, and how horrible she felt when she dragged him on the dance floor because she wanted to dance with him and he laughed. Little David tried to play it off and he let her dance with other boys.

The second feeling kept kicking in so no, her answer would be no. When John said she had lied, she smiled. It was good that in the end, everything was fine, and things that worried her ten years ago, now seemed like it was nothing.

When Natalie truthfully stated that she didn't believe she was the prettiest girl in the vlog squad David couldn't help but show that he was surprised. Because through his eyes she was the prettiest girl in any squad. Lastly, Corinna whispers something to Dima. "Should I ask?"
"Hell yeah" their friend responds and she finally asks.
"Natalie would you ever hook up with David?" her question made both David and Natalie's stomachs hurt.
David stirred into Natalie's eyes forgetting that people were watching him. His eyes got watery because he hadn't closed them until she spoke. He didn't know what to expect.
Natalie in the other hand knew the answer to that question. It was an obvious "yes". Her hands got sweaty and her stomach was hurting more than before. She started into David's eyes. She couldn't lie looking at him in the face. "No" she said waiting for John to say the truth. She hoped that the test would be wrong and would catch her lying. But it did.
"That's a lie" John says based on the screen he is watching.
David let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Suddenly he felt his head warming and he knew that he was getting pink from all the people watching him. Natalie's cheeks were pink too. She waited to answer a couple more questions and then she quickly stood up.

David watched her walking from one side of the living room to the other. He felt so comfortable now that he knew that she has probably thought of him too. A bunch of people got tested until Jeff finally arrived. David put his camera down and waited for people to ask Jeff things, when Natalie asked if he's attracted to her, he got serious.

He wasn't jealous, he couldn't be, he just wanted to leave the room. He didn't though because everyone would understand.
Natalie asked Jeff, because she genuinely needed to know. She wouldn't date him ever, he was a really good friend though.

When Jeff answered and mentioned David and Natalie being secretly a thing, she turned to look at David's reaction. Seeing him smile made her smile too. This was a difficult day, and she knew that David wouldn't leave her alone when everybody would leave them.

When that time came, Carly was the last to leave, Natalie announced that she was tired and she wanted to sleep right away, but the truth is, she didn't want to give explanations about liking David.

David followed her in her room and sat right by her side, "where do you thing you're going number one fan?" he laughed and her cheeks got rosy again.
"David stop" she covered her face with the blanket.
"What? Don't tell me you're embarrassed" he smiled and gently pulled the blanket away from her face to face Natalie's smile.
"Of course I am! I was the one that got hooked up with all that stuff and was asked a bunch of questions about you!" she explained. She wasn't really complaining though.
"You want me to go through it too?" He asked locking his eyes on her.
"Yeah" she said in a cute way just like a baby.
David grabbed her hand with both of his hands and placed it on his chest. "Ask me anything"
She tried to take her hand as she thought he was just playing but he held it hard. "And how would I know you're saying the truth?" she asked.
"You'll just know. You'll feel it" he looked at her hand on his heart.

Natalie took a big breath. "Have you ever thought of asking me out on a date and never did it?" her hand could feel his heart beating.
"Yes" He said staying still.
"Why?" she couldn't take her eyes off him.
"Why would I ask you out, or why didn't I?" David asked still holding her hand against his heart.
"Both" she quietly nodded.
"I would ask you because I like you, I didn't do it because I was afraid of rejection" he simply answered, not realizing that they were sharing their feelings.
She took her hand and whispered "Do it now"

David smiled. His heart was beating so fast, he couldn't believe what was happening. "Natalie" he sat up closer to her. They're knees were touching and he rested his hands on her legs. "Would you go out with me?" David leaned in to grab her hands but she kissed him.

Her lips touched his softly and her hands were by his ears. David pulled back and looked at her. "Yes" Natalie nodded and her mouth was shut by David's kiss again. He cupped her face and kissed her slowly trying to understand that he was kissing his first ever crush.
