52. Swipe right (bts)

David was on his phone posting about Bumble on his Instagram stories because that's what Megan told him to do the other day. He had to post about it twice this week, and so he did.

He posted that story of him asking for people to check out bumble and he immediately tapped on the bumble app to see what's going on. He read some of the messages and he smiled.

Natalie was sitting across from him this whole time playing games on her phone when she heard him laugh. She asked curious of what he found that funny.

"This girl told me that I'm like the Beyoncé of YouTube, and she also sent me a meme about it. Look at that edit" David handed Natalie his phone and she cracked a smile.

"Blonde suits you well" she laughed as she was ready to hand him back his phone when she saw his messages on the app. "Oh my God, girls really do love you" she said and looked back at her phone trying to hide the fact that she might be a little jealous.

"Yep" he laughed staring at her waiting for some reaction but she didn't do anything. "Can you help me with my profile?" he asked mainly to watch her suffer.

"Can't Zane help you with that? He's on his way and he for sure has a lot of experience" Natalie was being a little rude standing up and leaving him alone in the living room. When she rested her hand on the kitchen counter, and she was away from David she realized she was being mean, for no reason. "Let me help you with that, I guess" she said as she walked closer and sat right next to her best friend.

"No I don't need help" he looked up to stare into her eyes, "I'm not even using those profiles" he said in a flirty tone that caused Natalie to blush.

"Cool" she got up and that's when she remembered that tomorrow David had an interview. "I'm gonna sleep now, don't stay up late with Zane" she said walking away. "I'm gonna wake you up early tomorrow"

"Yes mommy" he joked when she disappeared but he knew she heard him.

"David if you call me mom one more time, I swear to God-" she shouted before she closed the door behind her. She really was a lot meaner than she used to be and she didn't understand the reason. It was like she got rude once David started being flirty, like that was her reaction.

David sat on the couch still smiling at how annoyed Natalie would get every time he called her anything other than "best friend". She didn't like assistant, mom, sister, girlfriend. Anything. His thought got interrupted when he received a message from Zane letting him know that he would go.

David walked to Natalie's door and knocked on it, because he wanted to let her know that he was going for sleep too. "Nat?" he whispered twice but she didn't answer. Maybe she fell asleep already.

He slowly opened the door to see her with headphones in and closed eyes. Her phone was still on her hand so he approached her to lock the phone and leave it next to her. When he grabbed her phone he saw what she was doing when she fell asleep, and he blushed. She was on his profile on bumble, looking through his pictures.

He left the phone next to the bed and carefully tried to take off her earphones too, once his hand touched her cheek, she woke up and got scared. "It's me I'm sorry" he caressed her hair. "It's okay it's okay" he said repeatedly touching her hand feeling bad for scaring her. "Goodnight" he kissed her hand and left the room.

He managed to fall asleep after hours of thinking about him and Natalie. It was times like these that made him believe they should be together. His dreams ended when her beautiful voice woke him up to get dressed for the interview. She had already looked through his closet with Megan so Natalie handed him his clothes and sat on the bed waiting for him to get dressed while Megan left the room.

They made David sit on a chair next to the interviewer and she started talking about David. Sooner than later she mentioned the datalie rumors making David "swipe" right or left to Natalie.

"I'd swipe right" he answered meaning to not make drama over them once again. He always thinks that datalie fans annoy Natalie, but he's wrong.

Natalie heard the question and gasped. "Wow" she said knowing damn well that people could hear her but she just wanted him to answer truthfully.

"She wants me to swipe right" David explained to the interviewer and the camera. "You don't know it but Natalie's the one that's into me, and I'm delaying it" David smiled, thinking of last night.

"That's not true" Natalie said but no one except for David heard her.

"I don't want to mix love life with the job" he continued and then ended the conversation right there. The cameras stopped rolling and the interviewer asked to talk to Natalie too. She kindly declined the offer but then realized that she just wanted to talk and not interview her.

"Oh my God that was embarrassing" Natalie laughed walking to David and the young woman. "Hi"

"So now, off the record, you're not dating right?"

"Yeah, um what I said is true, we don't think it's a good time to date just because we're working together. You know, she's my assistant, she can't be my girlfriend too" David explained and Natalie blushed.

"Is he being serious?"

"Sure" Natalie laughed. "We're really close and that's what made people ship us but that's us. We've been like this since we were little kids"

David and Natalie got on the Ferrari and started driving away, when Natalie started the conversation. "Is it true that you'd date me if I wasn't your assistant?"

"Yeah. That, and it also feels like you're my sister" David explained. He wasn't being truthful. He would be more than happy to kiss and cuddle and do more things to Natalie. He wanted to do things with Natalie that he never thought of doing to nobody, and especially his sisters.

"Well" Natalie got her hopes up. His lie didn't bring her mood down. "The only thing is, I'm not" she smiled. It sounded so simple in her head. "I'm not you're sister, and I won't be, this" she pointed at the two of them "this is two best friends or more. We're not siblings, get that out of your head" she was smiling that she finally told him.

David was confused as to why she was saying all those things. He would be scared that she was mad but she was actually smiling. "Nat?"

Natalie turned her head to look at him because David had something to tell her. David stopped the car at the side of the street, conveniently parked on a view point.

"You're fired" he simply says and smiles. "I don't want you to be my assistant no more"

Natalie was shocked at first but soon enough she realized what he was doing. "Dave" she wanted to make sure that he meant what she thought he was saying.

"I love you" David only said to her and grabbed her hand.
"David I love you too" she rested her head on his chest, wanting to kiss him. But she was scared. When her heart stopped beating this fast she got the courage to look up at him. His eyes were locked on hers and his lips with a smirk. He knew what she was about to do and he was kind of ready.

"Wait" he said right before she was ready to kiss him. "Feel this" he took her hand and placed it on his heart. "I love you" he repeated.

"You already said it" she laughed getting closer to him. She was now almost kissing him, biting her lips trying to realize that this was actually happening.

"I can't stop saying it" he smiled not moving not even a little bit, he wanted her to kiss him. "I love y-" he got interrupted by her lips.

"Sorry I interrupted you" she teased him once she stopped kissing him. "What were you saying?" they laughed touching one another. Can't keep their hands to each other.
