42. Press Day (crush talk, BTS)

Natalie and David flying to New York for a whole press trip was exciting but also tiring. They knew they had a program which seemed good but then again, they wouldn't wanna do anything else because they didn't have much time.

They started off with the first interview. It was a basically a YouTube video. This time he had to answer "Never Have I Ever" questions.

He talked to the producers and then he, Natalie and Casey entered the room and all sat down to their sits. Natalie really enjoyed these. She watched David doing random things, she didn't have to stress much about it because basically everything was pre planned. So she sat back and relax.

A few moments in the interview, Natalie stood up to see David better. She had nothing to complain about though, people treated her like a queen everywhere they go.

Natalie watched David blush once he read his question. He looked at her and read it out loud before laughing. "Never have I ever had a crush on Natalie" he said and Natalie rolled her eyes.

She was tired of these questions only because she was tired of David's answers. At first he completely denied it, then he just laughed it off, and now before Natalie knows anything, David goes off and confesses his feelings for her publicly.

David realized he had to say the truth and tried to remember the exact year so he could tell Natalie and the whole crew a story about his crush on his best friend.

David couldn't hide his feelings and asked for Natalie to go next to him. "Have I ever told you that?" he smiles and she shakes her head. "Well, Natalie asked me to dance and I had a crush on her and I was basically trying to tell you that you looked pretty in your dress the next day" he blushed and Nathalie couldn't take her eyes off of him.

It was the first time he ever told her that story and she truly felt loved. Her relationship with David was something no one understood. Not even them at times.

They are  friends who like to flirt. They are occasionally touchy and too flirty but never more than that. They have both thought of them being a couple and that idea didn't seem bad.

Even if everyone thought that Natalie was the one that wasn't into David, it was actually false. The truth is, in the past he was never more than a guy best friend. She would like some other friends of hers, but David was always her best guy friend.

David liked Natalie from the moment he laid his eyes on her. She was beautiful and smart and funny. And David was a loving guy.

As the years past by, Natalie started to realize that David is the one person in the world that's always there for her. Even when he moved out to LA, they talked all the time, and he eventually asked her to move in with him.

David knew deep inside all these years that he and Natalie should never grow apart. He just needed her next to himself. He needed her to himself.

David stopped brushing his hand through his hand out of awkwardness "It's a lot different now" he tried to convince everybody in the room that he doesn't still have a crush on her.

"You just keep telling yourself that" Natalie laughed. She was so okay with David having a crush on her, because she knew that she had a crush on him too. And when she was being completely honest, she didn't know if she wanted David to actually ask her out.

They continued on with the interview with Natalie being smiley all the time while David's cheeks were now red from embarrassment. Well, embarrassment in his eyes because Natalie found that really cute.

Right before the interview was done, he called Natalie close to him once again to make her try one more thing. It was something he always did. Watching others people reaction to things was something that he really enjoyed, especially with Natalie.

She walked up to him and tasted the awful thing he gave her. She tried to be silent but fun because she knew that this wasn't just a vlog. She couldn't control what people would see.

When they got done with that interview, they drove off to the second one. This time he had to guess which of the products was the cheap/pricey one.

Once again, he kept looking at Natalie when a bunch of people stared at him, she was the one that he wanted to share this moment or the joke with. It was just like that all the time. He didn't do it on purpose, he just wanted to talk to her or about her all the time.

They got done with that quickly too and drove to the last one. This time, he would go on a blind date with a fan. He sat on the chair and answered to some questions. When asked about his dream girl he looked over at Natalie but really quickly, looked at the floor. He looked at her shoes and tried to hide the fact that he looked at her.

He started listing things that he actually liked in a woman while thinking of Natalie. He smiled at himself while remembering random things she has said or done.

Natalie on the other side of the room was resting her head on the wall, was smiling really hard, hoping that he was thinking of her.

When after the whole video (of course he had to bring up Natalie again) he walked at the car with Natalie and Casey and they drove to their hotel. The two friends casually searched for the right room, and while they were doing this, they were talking about their day.

They found the room and Natalie immediately changed into comfortable clothes and sat next to David holding a few make up wipes to take off her make up.

David watched her taking her make up off and realized that she looked even better in his eyes like that. He reaches out and caressed her leg to get her attention. When he did, he didn't know what to say.

Natalie smiled at him, not necessarily waiting for him to tell her something. But he did "I'm sorry I'm like that" he smiled and run his hand all the way to her wrist.

"What do you mean?" Natalie was confused.

"You know what I mean. With the whole crush thing" he explained himself still smiling.

Natalie instantly smiled back and blushed. She was so happy that they were so open and honest with that thing. "You don't have to be sorry" she squeezed his hand back, letting him know that there was no rush.

Things will go as they're supposed to go. They don't have to be nervous. Everything happens for a reason.
