18. The one with all the pick up lines

"Wow" Natalie entered the room and sat on the bean bag. David was lying in his bed trying to stay awake. When he heard her coming back to the room he looked at her. Her hands made him realize she was stressed.

"What? Who was it?" He asked as he knew that she just answered a phone call.

Natalie finally looked up to David. "It was... Jeff" she played with her hands. "He asked if I was interested going to the movies with him"

David looked into her eyes. He needed to know what she thought of Jeff before he would speak. "And?" He finally said when she was silent.

"I don't know!" she said when Joe and Casandra came in with cups of coffee.

"When's Jason coming?" David asked Casandra but his eyes were still locked on Natalie who seemed to be thinking of Jeff's offer still. "Natalie-" he was interrupted by her.

"Can we talk about it some other time Dave?" she gave him a look that showed she didn't want anyone to know.

"Yeah, sure maybe tonight.. if you're free!" He said trying to understand if she would actually go out with Jeff.

"Yes I'm free David!" she was mad at her best friend even thinking of it. She wasn't interested in Jeff like that. Yes, he was an attractive man, but getting to know him, she knew that they wouldn't work out.

David smiled, he didn't know why, but he felt relieved that she didn't want to date Jeff. Jason came into the room to fill the silence.

"I just talked to Jeff, I'm going to be honest Natalie, I didn't see that coming" He smiled and sat next to David. "Are you okay?" He whispered to his best friend, feeling that this must be hard for him.

"Better than ever" he smiled and waited for Natalie to respond.

"Ugh, Jason. I don't know what to do!" she admitted and covered her face with her hands.

It took Casandra and Joe to understand what was happening a little and then they all talked about it. Well, everyone except Natalie who felt awkward. "Guys, there's no way he means it, he's not even actually flirted with me once"

"You know what, she's right, he only flirts when someone's filming" Jason tried to help Natalie out, and David smiled at what his friends were saying.

"You never say that someone flirted with you! You always say that they're nice" Casandra interrupted them.

"That's because no one has ever flirted with me!" Natalie said and everyone in the room laughed.

"Come on, you don't mean that" David laughed. She got hit on all the time.

"Yeah, I do. I have never felt like someone is hitting on me" Natalie looked at her best friend and he smiled at her.

They were silent for a couple of minutes and David and Natalie still looked at each other. Joe noticed that. "Well, how about David, you have noticed him flirting you right?"

"What?" both Natalie and David looked at Joe.

"I never flirted with Nat" David said with his eyes wide open and his ears red from shyness. Natalie looked at David trying to cover up the fact that he has flirted with her. Natalie smiled at the thought of David hitting on her.

"Guys, we're not gonna keep talking about this alright?" Natalie clapped to get everyone's attention. "Let's edit! I'm goin to order something does anybody want something specific?"

"Maybe burgers?" David said having something in mind. He laughed at himself and Natalie noticed but didn't say a thing. David was a weird kid anyway.

A couple minutes later the food has arrived. They're all eating when Natalie went to the kitchen to grab a coke. David immediately stood up and run after her.

He followed her to the kitchen and waited for her to notice him. "Aren't you going to ask me how my burger was?"

Natalie looked at him confused but by his smile she knew that he had something planned. "No" she smiled and walked away.

"Ugh, Natalie!" He followed her again and grabbed her arm. "Please" he smiled.

"How was your burger?" Natalie acted like she actually cared and waited for his response.

"Well, my burger was great" he approached her and caressed her hair. "But you are both rare and well-done at the same time!" he managed to say the whole thing and burst into laughter with Natalie.

"You're crazy" she finally said when she stopped laughing.

"Huh, ya! Crazy for you" he laughed and they both went to his bedroom again. When Casandra asked the reason why they were laughing David waited for Natalie to answer but when she didn't he did.

"I'm testing my flirting skills" he just said and continued watching, staring at Natalie once in a while.

Hours had past and their friends left the house. It was just David and Natalie in the room laying next to each other both working on their laptops.

"Oh, hey feel that" David said out of the blue and pointed at his laptop. Natalie touched his laptop and looked at him.

"What? What am I supposed to feel?" she waited for him. This time he was serious, he didn't even crack a smile.

"You're even hotter than the bottom of my laptop" he locked his eyes into hers. And she smiled.

"Thank you David, now I know how to understand when someone is flirting" she looked away and fixed her hair. "We will probably be up all night editing" she yawned. "We should get some coffee" she smiled feeling like she getting revenge. "We should get some coffee cause I'm liking you a latte" she burst into laugher.

David was watching the way her hand covered her mouth when she was laughing and her other hand touching his arm. He stayed still waiting for her next move. He didn't want to ruin anything.

When Natalie realized that she was touching his surprisingly strong arm, and he was blushing looking at her, she removed her hand from his arm. "We should get back to work"

"Probably" he shook his head. And they both stayed understand his sheets editing videos, and laughing at each other from time to time.
