Chapter 54

And I'm back. Sorry, it took me so long but like I already said I'm fully working now and writing this story needs a lot of time that I sometimes don't have and that's why I focused more on my other shorter story. But now I'm gonna finish this one before I do anything else :)

5 Chapters and the Epilogue left and my first story is done. This feels weird...

Also, this is not edited or something. Probably has lots of spelling mistakes but for once it's okay and I'm gonna edit it later

For the next two weeks straight the boys did nothing more than studying and rehearsing. The next meeting with Antonio was close and the final exams too. On Top oft hat they tried to find out more about this mysterious water dragon. In every free minute, they searched for answers while the mermaids did the same just underwater. But in the end, they found nothing. No sign of a magic water dragon anywhere.

Right now Zayn was strolling through the city with his sister. Something he barely did and for a good reason. She was annoying the hell out of him. Every second store had to be visited and that for hours without an end. Zayn was seriously wondering how Louis dealt with his sisters all the time and why they weren't as annoying as his own little monster.

„Come on, I wanna go in there" she nagged, pulling on his shirt like a baby.

„You wanna go in that shop?" eyed Zayn that weird-looking tiny Asian shop in a sidestreet. Not creepy at all.

„Yes, I want one of those Lucky Winky Cats" she urged him even more now.

„I don't think they have those creepy cats there, " said Zayn in doubt but he was completely ignored.

His sister carefree hopped into the shop so Zayn had to follow her. Someday she would be kidnapped. He was sure of it. But right now she was looking through the selves of that strange shop and Zayn really was close to losing it. The old owner of the shop kept an eye on them. Not creepy at all.

„Zayn, look at that. Isn't that something for you?" pointed his sister at some tapestries.

„I'm into Art, not old carpets fort he wall" snorted Zayn offended.

„Those tapestries are some kind of art, young man" chipped the owner in now.

„Oh really?" raised Zayn an eyebrow at him.

„Yes. They're pretty old and back then this was a way of expressing yourself. Those carpets as you call them, tell a story. You just have to take a closer look" told the owner him.

Rolling his eyes, Zayn stepped closer and examined them briefly. He was so over it. Suddenly something caught his eye. Perplexed he took some steps backwards and faced an old tapestry. On it was an ocean with an old-looking island in the background. But that wasn't what caught his attention. In the right bottom corner were a water dragon and a mermaid. It looked like she was fighting against it. On her arm shimmered something golden but it was hard to see.

„What's that?" pointed Zayn at the golden object.

„According to the legend oft he water dragon it's an old bracelet that holds magical powers to fight it" stepped the owner next to him.

„A legend?" questioned Zayn curiously.

The old man nodded and traced with his finger over the picture. „In ancient times mermaids lived amongst us out in the ocean and protected our world. The merman became jealous oft hem and started a war but they had no chance because they were outnumbered by the mermaids. One day a dragon appeared out oft he ocean, completely made of water. It evicted them out of their home, away from their island and us until one brave mermaid faced the dragon with a magical bracelet. She defeated the dragon but the mermaid world was messed up forever and they disappeared".
