CHAPTER 6

How the hell did he say such a huge sentence in one breath.

"Slow don't mister." 

"She fell very sick. One day I saw her fallen down in the kitchen and I rushed her to the hospital. She is sick Al. She had some clots in her brain. I don't know what to do. They are giving medication for her clot to come down. But it's not completely healing. I love her so much Al. I don't wanna loose her." he said sobbing.

This was too much to take in.

He cries and I was already crying. We both were crying. I did not know what to tell him. I just took his hand a hugged it tightly and kissed his hand.

"It will be alright Adrian. Maa is strong. She will win this battle. We just need to be by her side. Just don't stress her out much. She is a strong woman." It was more like I am consoling myself than Adrian.

"Thank you Al. I'm just worried about Jessy. I don't know how she will handle it." He hugs me tighter. 

"Where is she by the way?" I asked.

"I sent her to aunt's home near her school. I thought it would be better to send her there. "

"She will be fine. We will go check on her regularly. Is Maa still in the hospital?"

"Yes"

"She will be there for a while." he said in a sad tone.

"Did you tell uncle?"

"Yes. This business contract is very important. It would earn alot of profit. That would help in mom's medication. I hope we get it." he said sniffing. 

"You will Adrian. You all will be fine. Uncle was so worried when I spoke to him today."

"You called him? He dint tell you anything about this?" he asked worriedly.

"Nope. He just told that it was up-to you to tell me. And you know I wished that I would see you tomorrow. But I got to see you today itself. 11:11 wishes do come true."

Both chuckled.

"Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Yes" He said rubbing his tummy.

"I'll get something from the kitchen wait here."

He let's go of my hand and we both get up. Before I could leave Adrian pulled me into a hug "Thank you Al. You make my worries go away."

 I smiled at him and left the room.

Oh boy, this guy is gonna be the death of me.

I headed to the kitchen. I took out the remaining food from the fridge.

 Ahh she made pasta. I heated it in the oven. I took two plates and two spoons and was about to leave the kitchen.

 When I saw someone infront of me. I was like a deer caught in headlights. 

Oh no, I'm in trouble.

"Hi mom."

"What are you doing?" She added crossing her hands over her chest.

"Uhmmmm I'm hungry so." I showed her the plates which was a big mistake.

"Why are there two plates and two spoons?"

Hurry up Alexis . Come up with some reason.

"I asked her to get it Mommy" a voice from the stairs said.
