JUST HOLD ON

CHAPTER 1

I woke up and went upto the window to see the tall skyscrapers of the famous NYC and I was hugged me from back and nuzzled in my neck.

"I have the most beautiful view this morning." Jake said in the most huskiest tone.

"Yeah right." And I turned and I elbowed him.

And he went to take a shower.

So, let me rewind a bit.

After graduation we had a very boring summer. We did have some good times but not like the ones we were used to.

Without Maa, Adrian and Fahad it was not the same.

Jake and I got really close because he was always there for me when I needed so we thought of giving our relationship a try. 

 I did not use him as a rebound as what Verona comments on our pictures. We genuinely cared for each other.

Maa was recovering but she was still not out of coma. Uncle Harry and Dad hit a jackpot in their business by taking some contract from NY company by which the business sky rocketed.

Beth and Jess are one grade higher and Beth hasn't found the courage to approach a guy whom she likes and wouldn't tell me his name. Jess is better now; she might be sad but she is strong enough not to show it.

As of my friends, we all are in the same flat which we rented. It costs tons but we got it at a cheaper price, thanks to our luck.

Jake and I decided to move in together, Brit and Dan of-course, Nat is single as she was.

Adrian and Fahad are long gone? I don't know.

I do get calls from Fahad. They are apparently working for some big company. But wouldn't tell me the name.

That's a jist of what happened over the few months.

"Hey you can go now." Jake broke me from my stance.

I went and showered and dressed up and went to the hall where we eat our breakfast.

"Babe, we are almost out of cereal." Jake said while he munched his.

"We will buy it on our way back." Dan chirped.

"Okay. How is Brit now?" I asked.

"She is still asleep, but better. She just has her morning sickness now."

My mouth formed an O.

"So, she isn't gonna attend today's class too?" I asked with concern.

"Na-uh. I warned her not to eat so much after she had drinks on an empty stomach." He said and muttered something under his breath.

"Hey, don't you dare mutter something bad about my Brit, I am gonna set your precious hair on fire." Nat cooed.

He stuck his tongue at her.

"You guys fight like cat and dogs." I said and went to see Brit.

I kissed her forehead and we all left to college.

Jake has different timings due to a different course he has taken. Dan, Brit and I have taken the same course of business and Nat in elementary training in a different college which is almost near to the place we stay.

Dan and I work on weekdays 3 out of 5, at a well reputed firm who pay us quite a good amount of stipend. Brit works in a cafe as a waitress. even after Dan forbidding her she fought back and went to work because it was what she wanted since she watched "The Cinderella Story".
