CHAPTER 29

Alexis POV

I was still in shock. When I did not respond to the call for like 5 minutes. I did not know what to say.

And somehow, I regained my conscious and answered.

Beth slept knowing who it was.

After all this time. He had to call me now. Did he think I would forgive him so easily?

He did not even answer some of my questions. I really wanted the answers for those and he did not answer it.

And I shut my phone and went to sleep.

"I am so angry." I groaned.

"Babes, chill. At least he called." Beth sided him.

She has a point though. But I am still angry and did she call me 'babes'?

"Did you just.. never mind. Okay see you after school." I said and walked away.

"What went up your pants this morning?" That is Nat, ladies and gentlemen. She can find out by just looking at you that something is wrong.

"Don't even ask." I said frustrated.

"I asked though." I rolled my eyes.

"Will tell you during lunch when Brit and Dan are with us. For now, Adios."

"Bye."

Lunch hour came in like a blink, and I was kinda relieved that my English teacher did not ask about my assignment. Lucky day? I guess.

"So spill!" Nat said

Okay here it goes.

*FLASHBACK*

"Hello. Who is this?" I asked.

"Hi" the person said from the other end.

I did not speak for what seemed like hours.

"Alexis, are you there?"

"What do you want?" I lashed out. After all these days today is the only day he found out that I have been eager for his call?

"I'm sorry that we did that. I wish we could have told you, but we could not."

"You have to be Fahad. You have no idea how angry I am. I can not even tell how shattered I was when I got to know it from a third person. That was the day I decided to tell my feelings to Adrian. Tell him how much I loved him." I cried.

Jake was not a third person now. He was one of my best friend.

"Lex, please do not cry. It hurts me knowing I'm not there to console you." He pleaded.

"I hope it does hurt. I am hurting since the day you both left me, without informing me. Now that you have called please, please tell me why did you leave? Why? Just why?" I cried into the phone.

"I'm sorry Lex. But I can not tell you. I made a promise not to." He sighed.

Of-fucking-course. It was Adrian who made him do that.

"You have no idea how much I hate you right now. I could strangle you to death." I huffed. My tears quickly drying up.

"Lex, you fine?"

"No. I can not even lie to you." I sighed.

"You still love him?" he asked as if he did not know the answer.
