ALEXIS POV

"So, you haven't spoken to Adrian for more than a year?" Maa asked.

"Damn right." I said handing over the juice.

"You still love him?"

I sighed. "I am not able to move on Maa. You know what had happened to me with Simon. He was there with me and helped me go through it. I blamed myself for it and he was the one who taught me that it wasn't my fault."

"That happens dear. Your heart always takes the right decision."

"I know." I smiled at her.

"But do not forgive him easily." She smirked.

"I would never, ever forgive him. It will take eternity for him to get my forgiveness in this matter."

I still fucking don't know why he left me. They left me.

"Fahad atleast took time to talk to me, why not Adrian? Not even a single message. If he would have atleast spoken to me yesterday, just one word I would have forgiven him." I said maa.

She shook her head, "That boy would be the reason for my grey hair."

"Maa, I know that you're Adrian's step..."

"I know, I know that everyone knows except Jess and Beth. He is still my son and no one take that away from me."

"Yeah I know." I said hugging her.

"Okay, do not get emotional. Today is your last day. When am I gonna see you again?"

"Oh, I will come often, you do not worry. Else I will facetime you."

"Okay."

~~~
"Mom. Do not cry. It is not like I am going forever."
She cried so much.
"Mom. Oh my god. I will not be long gone." I looked at Dad and Beth for help.
"Love, stop it." My dad cooed pulling her away from me.
"I love you all. Bye." I once again hugged everyone and left.
~~~

"Ah I hate that we are back to our regular classes and assignments." Dan huffed.

I laughed agreeing to him.

We headed to class.

"Welcome class, we are going to..."

I shut the teacher off and just acted like I was concentrating. I was in no mood to listen to him.

"Ms.Carter, what would your answer be?" he asked.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

The one time I do this, I had to get caught.

"Uhm...." I looked around for help and the teacher walked upto my seat.

Yeah. Make me more nervous please.

A girl with curly hair and pretty hazel eyes waved her hands behind the prof and wrote the answer in huge letters.

"Buy." I said relieved.

"And why would you buy the share rather than selling it?" he asked again.

"Because.." I looked at the visual and it showed an upward movement in the graph.

"The prices are likely to increase in the future, so I can sell them then and enjoy profits."

"So as Ms. Carter has pointed it out rightly." He continued and I looked at the girl who helped me and I smiled at her. She politely returned the smile.
