JUST HOLD ON

CHAPTER 21

Adrian came late and we convinced him to go home. 

Fahad was staying with Maa and Dad came back to stay with Uncle. I went with Adrian to his house. 

He plopped on the bed and put his hand on his head frustrated. 

"What happen with the police Adrian?" He did not answer and I did not push it more. I sat on the bed and he got up and went to the washroom. 

"Al" He called from the other side. 

"Yes" I answered. "Change to something comfortable. I'll change too." 

I nodded my head and realized he is not infront of me. "Okay." 

I took his shirt instead of mine and went under the blankets. He came out at the exact same time. 

He laid down next to me " Come here." He patted on the spot next to me. 

I slid to his side and he hugged me. He rested his head on my head and me on his chest. He kissed my hair. I lifted my head to look at him and he crashed his lips on mine. 

This wasn't the soft one. It was rough and claiming. I did not pull back instead I kissed him back. He was on top of me now. He trailed his kisses down my neck. 

 He stopped and pulled me back to his chest.

"Thank you for being with me." I smacked his chest. 

"Shut up." He chuckled lightly. 

"Sleep AL." He kissed my cheeks. What's up with him?

"Good night Adrian." I know he isn't gonna sleep. It's already 3 in the morning. 

We both did not sleep and we did not speak too. We just hugged each other and stayed quite.

I the got a call from dad I picked up immediately. "Come to the hospital Lexi. Fast. Philip woke up." I looked at Adrian and he looked at me with a questioning look. 

I ended the call and told Adrian. We never bothered to change, we just drove to the hospital.

"Dad. Oh god." He hugged him. I broke into tears looking at them . 

Then uncle gestured me to come near him. I hugged him too. 

"How is Cam?" I looked at Adrian.

"She is fine dad. You get well first. Okay?" He nodded. It's good that he is did not stress him out. Fahad came in and they were talking so I went to see maa. 

I did not have the courage to see her yesterday but I have to see her today. So I went and opened the door. She had a bandage on her head and she was sleeping peacefully.

 I went and sat next to her. I took hand in mine "Hey maa. I don't know if you can hear me but please wake up soon. You have to for our sake atleast. We love you so much maa." I kissed her hand. The doctor came and told me to wait outside.

Today Adrian and I stayed back. This went on for days, everyone taking chances and staying with either of them 

Uncle was discharged after 2 weeks. We hardly went to school. We made sure that we attended atleast 3 days in those week. 

Adrian and me always sleep together and yes we do make out but that is limited to kissing only. And that's only at night, the mornings we go back to normal selves. 

But my love for him kept increasing though I tried to push it away. We both never spoke about it.

Today was exactly one month after the accident. Everything was normal expect that maa was still in coma. 

Most of the time it's either my mom or uncle who stays with her. They allow us to just visit and not stay back. 

In the morning mom or granny and night it's always uncle. He can not be without her. 

He shows he is okay but we all know that he is broken deep down. As for Adrian he turned a little arrogant. 

Jake doesn't irritate me because he knows what I am going through and I'm thankful to him. He is currently helping me in calculus but my mind is not there. 

"Alexis. Are you even listening?" He asked and chuckled when I shook my head. 

"It's okay. We will do it tomorrow. " He said sweetly. Jake and sweet. Never thought about that. Many girls are still wanting him but he doesn't sleep with them. But he leads them and flirts with them. 

"Thank you so much." I briefly hugged him and ran out. Adrian was having a serious talk with Dan.

Uh. What's happening. I was behind the locker so that I can hear atleast a little. I'm curious. 

"Are you sure Adrian. I mean you know..." Dan said.

"I'm sure Dan. Please trust me." Dan just nodded.

"What's up Lex?" Fahad poked my back. 

"Nothing." I smiled at him. He chuckled and shook his head.

"Hey Lexi. I'm sleeping in mom's room today." I looked at Beth in horror. 

"Are you kidding me?" I shouted. 

"Don't shout. Just trust me." She said. 

Why are everyone acting so weird lately. Arggggg. 

"Good night Lexi."

"Yeah yeah. Good night. " She went out.

"I'm gonna die." I said to myself.

"No you won't." I turned towards the window. 

"What the fuck Adrian?" I said with my hands on my chest. 

Without a word he came and crashed his lips on mine. I pushed him. 

"We can't keep doing this Adrian. We have to stop before it gets complicated." I said honestly. 

"Do you trust me?" Why the fuck is everyone asking the same question. 

"You know the answer Adrian." I snapped. 

"Then kiss me." He again claimed my lips.

I finally gave up and kissed him back. But it did not go to the extent when we both would regret. 

He kissed me again and we snuggled to sleep.

"Adrian."

"Hmm." 

"Umm, nothing" I so badly wanted to ask him what is going on between us. But I let it go.

"Go to sleep Al. I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said and went to slumber.

I wake up with the biggest smile on my face.

I turn around to see if he left some notes. But there were none.

 I think it is time to tell him what I feel, I hope he feels the same too.
